MORE ON STAIR RIDING DOWN STAIRS
    Step one - Body Position
Learn the forward and backward predator position. You will use this position to ride the stairs
Step two - Find a good stair case to learn on
Search your neighbourhood for a set of stairs with a short rise and a long run and hopefully only four or five stairs.
Step three - Cut across the stairs at first. Slow change the angle of attack until you are descending the entire set of stairs.
Step four - Add speed. Adding speed will prepare you for larger, more steep sets of stairs.

The local skatepark has a decent set of stairs, 5 steps, good rise/run ratio, but no handrail, and it's flanked by low ledges. KInda hard to work up the nerve to go down that fakie... hopefully now that school is back in session here, I'll have more room to practice...

What can I say after all these comments, just join to the ones that thank and appreciate your contribution with all of us. Something maybe that has not been said: does the wheel size affects? I mean is it easier on NR100s? And do you find easier on PR80 x 5? Thks in advance! By the way Ive been waiting all day for watching this at hotel as I am run out of data, 😆!

    • @FlowSkate

I find that wheel size doesn’t have a big effect. Anti rocker setups are difficult to learn stair rides with. Though I do think it is easier on any Natural rocker frame.

Newb here former agressive inliner, skier and skateboarder. Just Picked up a pair of three wheel twister 110s. Do you think going on the grass is bad for the wheels and bearings? I live on a massive hill and want to try ways to slow down. Definitely gonna pick up one of your shirts eventually

Great video! Now, is this harder with bigger wheels? Because I have 100mm but I sometimes face stairs
    Is this the same strategy?

Same strategy. Nothing changes. The big wheels go down the stairs really well but the extra height can make landing steep stair cases more difficult.

I'm just starting, so I'm noone to disagree with you, but I'm gonna disagree with you :) The way you are showing to turn forward to backward looks like a good way for newbies like me to trip up, and that's probably why that's where it goes south for a lot of people. The way Christine just hops to a backward roll is far easier. Maybe that's a personal thing though. It also looks a little better, and not only because she's prettier than you. Also, very cool that you guys skate together. That's the only reason I was willing to start; my wife wanted to skate and we do things like this for people we love. Turns out, I do like it though. Feels great to just coast around on wheels.
