@@johnsonpt2 I understand what you’re saying but they both had their benefits. The cloud peak two is the framework which makes it larger vestibules but on the decathlon one there a lot smaller because the tent is pinned out to make the vestibules. but we put it through its paces and this is the link to the video where it was is in storm conditions Durston & Decathlon: The Ultimate Wind Test Challenge th-cam.com/video/Yf5KLclVHRQ/w-d-xo.html
I bought the Forclaz Mt 500 Fresh and black 2 person tent and I can say it's very well made and waterproof it's bomb proof. A bit heavy but for me it's perfect.
Good review bought a quencha 2 man very similar to yours for £50 off ebay its brilliant great in high winds its never leaked .decathlon sell the quencha range of tents everythink they sell always seems descent quality thanks
Apparently they are tested in foreign countries against all the elements so you gotta give it to Forclaz for pushing out affordable tents of high quality.
Good review mate 👍 I've seen some negative reviews about the poles easily breaking. Have you had any experiences of this ? What's your longer-term opinion now you've had it a while ?
Well this was a camp out in some serious winds & it didnt budge for shizel Durston & Decathlon: The Ultimate Wind Test Challenge th-cam.com/video/Yf5KLclVHRQ/w-d-xo.html. & I’m out again it the tent at the weekend so will see it still feels sturdy enough
Decathlon has some nice gear , problem is though,..... Decathlon tents in this price-range don't offer a lot of value... , you're better off getting some of the other "budget brands"... in this case I rather get a "OneTigris Stella" ...it's just an overall better investment for the money and probably one of the best 4 season tents you can get on a budget.
Ya know I like OneTigris gear I used to have the Tipinova and it was spot on for a single skin tent & as for the Stella I nearly picked that up not long a go. I think you’re right it is a cool looker. Was also looking at the cosmitto or a hot tent from them maybe soon.
Good video, does seem like great value but acid test will be on the hills. I’m looking for a 3 season + at the moment. Interested in what the new dome tents from Tarptent and Durston will be like.
It’s rated to 70kph winds from all directions which is mighty impressive for a tent of this price. I prefer mine to my old hilleberg akto. I’ve had it out in 80kph gusts and it’s been fine.
@@aarongray635 hello I hope your well and don't mind me asking you a question. How have you managed with rain is it waterproof? And would you take up a mountain ?.
Pretty much agree with you there all down to the thickness of the material but I know it can handle 70k winds easy. So just got wait till winter and see how good this is or more like how warm it could be during them snowy days
Looks a much better option than the naturehike cloud peak 2 and probably costs less. Probably similar weight too! 👍

Yes my sentiments exactly can’t wait to try it out in more harsh conditions but of snow and wind would be nice 👌

If you watch the previous vid out in wales at 60/70 kph winds it was fine .

@@michaelnicholson1817 yes it’s been great in the rain and I have used it in some testing weather in North Wales. Great little tent for the money.

For a such high price they didn't even bother to include proper tent pegs. Such a disgrace. Chinese tents from aliexpress are better.
Probably true 😂
