Leaving a comment! Lies of P was really impressive to me. I know it’s super derivative but it controls better than the vast majority of the wannabe souls games. Though for some reason it had a lot of flickering issues on my ps5.
I really didn't think it was a great presentation while watching it but all the highlights you picked out WERE great and there was quite a few! So I guess the problem is more pacing/padding for SGF for me, hmm!
Yeah absolutely! Even some of the more fun and better announcements like the Nick Cage bit or Alan Wake 2 went on long enough to lose steam despite the actual info being rad.
Kiryu isn’t in a fighting game because the Yakuza series creator refuses to allow it because he doesn’t was Kiryu to hit women. With that said, the series creator isn’t working on Like a Dragon and isn’t even employed at SEGA anymore, so who knows, it could happen! I would like to think they would honor his vision though.
i'm desperately hoping the femc content is going to be in P3R, even if it's locked to ng+, because i think it's a tremendous improvement on the base game in almost every way (except ofc graphics/cutscenes). the social links are deeply moving, AND, maybe most importantly, it's the first modern persona where your protagonist can be queer! (femc can date aigis, and she can hook up with elizabeth if you choose her as your velvet room attendant!) femc's social link with aigis is tremendously profound and shockingly well-written queer representation, and while atlus has a troubled history with queer rep, it would be deeply disappointing for them to cut the game's pre-existing queerness out when remaking it
The showcase showed some cool stuff but not a lot of it was stuff I was into so I am thoroughly neutral on it :P However, I was way into the Day of Devs stuff afterwards. I didn't expact the Lies of P demo to be so BEEFY, like I figured it would be over after the first boss but then it just kept going! Aside from the kinda janky dodging, I was impressed by it and honestly, anything remotely "more Bloodborne" I'll play because I am always biting at the chomp for more Bloodborne even something that's such a blatant copy cat so like... I enjoyed it lol
@@itswavelengths Exactly, and there were points with many enemies where I would dodge INTO the enemy without at all meaning to, like the boxes were a little off or something, it was very odd. Hopefully they'll polish it up a bit.
What did you think about this year’s SGF??
2/10 no Dunk Pacino
I didn't like Geoff's outfit
What IF pokemon had guns?
dude wouldn't that be so EDGY
I didn't pick up that the FF7 mobile game would be *all* of the stories around FF7... I'm looking forward to checking that one out!

One man just standing on stage for 2 hours talking about all these different genres and styles, really made be realize how weird video games are.
Always weird to lead with "here's the genre" before the actual reveal trailer itself.

YES the dodge feels bizarre! That first boss' unblockable attack is much more difficult with a dodge that doesn't seem to function properly.
