Cracking adventure that Andy. Well done on bagging those Wainwright’s. Getting closer to ticking them all off. As I’ve often said to you, your videos stand out above the wild camping crowd as you expertly take the viewer on the whole journey and don’t just focus on getting to camp asap.

Thanks Andy! I was up there last summer. Swindale is a hidden gem (shush) there is some beautiful wild swimming up there under the waterfalls. I like Haweswater plus its so accessible being this side of the Lakes, just off the motorway system. Keep up the good work.

How many is that now Andy.... 155? Looks very quiet up that neck of the woods, and plenty of stunning views. The weather couldn't make its mind up again, although I don't think you can beat the sound of rain on your fly....even if it's 330 am. Catch you soon pal.

Nice nature feel to that Andy. Well done on the cuckoo too. Not heard one yet this year. I'd have to say, I think the eastern side of the Lakes is my favourite. It doesn't have the big beasts of Scafell, Gable, etc but it gives me that peace and quiet that I'm after. Three hours kip too....I call that a result based on most of my camps 😀! Cheers, Chris
Thanks Chris yes that valley was full of the sounds of nature & tried to get it across,lovely to hear the cuckoo too but i couldn't spot it,they're very elusive.spotted quite a few deer further up the valley too which was nice to see..It is a nice quiet alternative side to the lakes,that side along wit the uldale fells are more hill like rather than full on mountain looking.3 hours kip thats a short night for me mate i can usually do at least 5 & up to 7 hours in winter 😂 tfw Andy.
Great film, lovely area, that pull up Branstree is a crippler after the walk in up the back. Enjoying the Wainwrights as taking me to places I'd probably overlook. Cheers, David
More rain Andy, the weather is still playing up. I went up Snowdonia on Friday, sat in my car for 6 hours hoping it would clear up. I spent the night in my car in the end. Constant horizontal rain all day and night. Last year, when we couldn’t go out, it was lovely 😂. At least you know the seam sealing worked mate. ATB 👍🏻

Great stuff Andy , I was only up on Selside the other week . I was looking down that swinedale valley and thinking that looks a nice hike and will do it one day . Looks like its a good old hike taking those wainwrights in , selside is very flat but a bit exposed lol . I camped somewhere near to your camp spot and as you say plenty of pitches about. Methinks you would be great guide leaders for small groups ie 2 or 3 to share the experience. What do you think? Basically you take people on the walks you were going any way but get paid. $ 750 for three days?

Hi Andy, check out Cruchan brand ear plugs on Amazon. Reuseable and less than a tenner, noise cancelling to 32dB and mould to your lugs.
