    Thanks for the review. I wear between an 8.5 and 9 in EE width. Specialized Mixed Terrain and Giro Empire VR90 HV are ugly to me. The Quoc GT actually look nice. And glad to hear from your review that they are wider than Giro's fit. Looking forward to see the kickstarter campaign so I can get in on it.

    Russ - Thank you for the cursory review, I would like to hear from you on your opinion after at least 1/2 to 1 mile hike over significant rocky terrain. Additionally as many like myself would be interested to know is regarding your thought on wet conditions. Finally, as with gravel riding, muddy conditions tend to suck energy from crossing extreme mud. Please consider a followup on the ability to walk in terms of grip and ability to clean while in the midst of a ride.

      Will do! We’ve got a crap ton of snow right now but will take it out once I can.

      Thanks man... The Koko claims on last year's divide was tough on shoes. Dirty Kanza and Land Run are white-clay rich mud. Crank bros beaters were really challenged like no other types of terrain

      Laura is going to be riding in flats. I’m on the fence to see what the weather is like. So flats aren’t off the table for extreme mud.

    Interesting...I had read reviews where Quocs were too narrow. Putting this back on my radar! Thanks!

      I wouldn't consider them wide, but they are wider I think than equiv Giros.

    Interesting option. Worth a look when it's finally time to retire my Giro Terra-Dude!-Bro!

    Quoc did a good job promoting these shoes via social media. All over IG and now i am watching a youtube vid.

    Why did you remove the classic PLP music?

    Regarding your comment reference the Giro shoe width, are your Giro's the HV (high volume) model? I wear a 4E shoe and find that the HV Giro's are definitely more comfortable. If the Quoc's do fit that much better, count me in for a pair somewhere down the road!

      davegehr exactly! As an owner of Guage HV, Terraduro HV, and an EE foot, I agree.

      I did get the Giro HVs but did find them still tight. I wouldn’t consider the QUOCs as an extra wide show, just wide enough. Also the materials aren’t as stiff as on the Terraduro so it seems to give a little more. If you can test fit a pair that would be best.

    With Giro shoes try one that is "HV", high volume. I can't even get the straps closed on a standard Giro shoe but the HV model I fits like a glove.

      Had the HVs. Still bad to stick a shoe stretcher in it.

      @@PathLessPedaledTV, wow. Try Sidi in the Mega width sometime. My foot is normal width but a very high arch. Most cycling shoes are just a no go for me. Good luck and your videos are great.

    What are thoughts in terms of using these shoes for cyclocross racing? Not stiff enough?

    • @PathLessPedaledTV
      @PathLessPedaledTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally prob wouldn't use it for racing. More for fun off road riding.

    • @willarmero1673
      @willarmero1673 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      So if you were to have one shoe for fun off road riding and cyclocross racing, it wouldnt be this? What about the empire vr90?

    • @PathLessPedaledTV
      @PathLessPedaledTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haven't tried the empire vr90s personally so can't really say. The main issue using the Quocs for racing I think would be 1) not quite stiff or light enough for a pure racing shoe 2) laces are hard to adjust on the fly.
