I love class routines! I am coming from teaching music, and had a very scripted way of running every class. But, I'm curious if you can do all this with absolute beginners from Day 1? Or, if you do this as time goes on?

I tend to wait a tish before starting this with COMPLETE beginners. My most recent video does a more thorough walkthrough of my timeline for beginners!

Hola! I purchased your "Persona especial" last year and I'm finally ready to use it! :D Any suggestions you could offer for how you (or others) would handle the assignment (write a few sentences about the "Persona especial") for students that were absent?

Hi! I do one of two things - either skip it for my absent students OR, I send them to the write & discuss slide for their class period and tell them to write (number - usually between 5-10) sentences IN ENGLISH about the person from their class period to show comprehension.

Do you have any tips for them to pay attention? He intentado de todo, revista, show de moda, juegos pero 5th y 6th hacen muy poco y nó me ha serviso ser tan creativa con ellos... se me acaban las ideas, justo tuve a 6th grado y fue terrible

I'm so sorry to hear that you're experiencing that! When I have classes I struggle with, I tend to go one of two ways: 1) try super fun. Keep it moving, use my "old faithfuls" and lean into things I KNOW work. OR 2) go OLD SCHOOL "boring". sometimes they just want to be entertained SO BADLY nothing you can do keeps up so you remind them, hey. this is school. we're here to learn and it can be FUN or we can work independently and silently for large chunks of class time. yea? yea. and we do kind of a reset of expectations for respect and interaction. not everything needs to be a dog & pony show, and if they're not having fun with FUN things? Maybe it's time for a reset!
      *I've never taught 5th!

Hi! I would start with this:
      th-cam.com/video/uqOoasbcZQk/w-d-xo.html
      and then this:
      th-cam.com/video/1y7vtqcEovU/w-d-xo.html
and then I tend to introduce the routines (this video you commented on) and start with high frequency verbs units like these:

      I hope that helps!

I am needing a lot of help. I took on a job teaching K-5 as a floating Spanish teacher. I see them every other week. I need resources to help me with elementary classes. I also need someone who can mentor me.

The youngest I’ve taught is 5th grade, and while I know some have used my resources with elementary students, it’s not my area of expertise. I always want to share with you from my experience, so instead I’d like to make this post a place to recommend awesome elementary accounts to follow.
