Welcome to Booktube! Excited to follow your videos ✨ I relate with your reason to read for escaping the real world haha one of the reasons I started my book channel as well. P.S. hopefully your cats will have some screen time as well 🥹
@@AnasBookery thank you so much! I’m in the process of editing my next video 😊 and haha my cats probably will make more appearances!! They demand a lot of attention/affection from me when they’re awake 😻😻
Welcome to Booktube! I connect with you about using reading as a part of escapism; It is such a great way to get away for a few minutes. Looking forward to seeing more!
Welcome to the BookTube community! No shame in the ACOTAR game. Best of luck with your channel - I look forward to watching more of your videos. Happy Reading! 😎📚👍
Hi, Pauline! I'm looking forward to hearing about all bookish things you want to share with us. From an oldie content creator to a newbie, welcome aboard. We're so glad to have you here!
@@KatieColson I love you and your channel! Thank you for watching my first video ☺️ I’m glad we can both reminisce about loving books so much that we had to sneak them in the shower as kids. It’s something my mom still mentions so I’ll never live it down 🤣
Hello Pauline and welcome to booktube! Although I'm an avid horror book and manga reader I do remember reading the inkheart trilogy as well. A long with Percy Jackson series. Again, welcome to booktube! 🙂❤📚
@@Bougie_Nerd thank you! I just recorded another video so I should have it up soon ☺️ and lol no actually those are old subs when I was into makeup years ago, but I looked into how I could use the same account and start from scratch, but there is no option to unsubscribe everyone 😆 I hope those subscribers like my content though if they see me back on their screens again!
My favorite author would be C S Lewis (friend of J R R Tolkien) his children's fantasy "The Chronicles of Narnia" is seven books starting with "The lion The Witch and The Wardrobe". Good for kids of all ages, I didn't read them until I was a grown up and they are good for us grown ups too. There is an excellent TH-cam Channel about these books and other Lewis reading called "Into The Wardrobe". For J R R Tolkien there are a number of TH-cam channels one that comes to mind first is "In Deep Geek".
As much as I love reading at a park on a nice sunny day or at a cafe drinking my tea, I find it hard to concentrate because I get pretty distracted by what’s going on in my surroundings. Thank god for my noise canceling headphones I got for my bday lol. Good luck with your channel!
Some of my favorite reading might seem a bit dry to many but I like reading historical books. Actual writings of ancient authors. I'm currently reading English translations of Martin Luther's books. I've actually read (English trans.) Suetonius Lives of the 12 Caesars and The Annals of Imperial Rome by Tacitus. The History of The Church by Eusebius of Caesarea is another that I liked. Some people are forced to read these in school but I read them because I am interested in that kind of stuff so I guess I'm a bit nerdy.
There are some interesting channels here on TH-cam where people read Science Fiction short stories and there are subtitles so you are reading along with the narrator. They are about 30 minutes each. C S Lewis also has a Space Trilogy which is great. Some of my favorite classic Sci-fi books, Orwell's 1984, Huxley's Brave New World, Ray Bradbury's Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451, and Asimov's I Robot.
@@glstka5710 I have two actually 😺😸 and thank you for all the recommendations! I read Fahrenheit in school and at least the first book in Narnia 😊 they weren’t my fave but I’m glad I read them!

Omg getting caught while reading in the shower is so relatable to me as a childhood reader and I love that you said that! Very validating, ha.
