I played 5 games and got my 5 wins. But I totally understand. The idea of a win streak in a completely talentless rng game is beyond stupid and shows the developers to be really quite clueless
it’s not talentless i got my 5 wins pretty easily and I can tell you that my opponant were making a lot of mistakes. also in a tcg, skill start at the deckbuilding so if your deck is trash ofc you will brick and lose, if your win con is base on degenerate gambling ofc you will lose a lot
Just play till you win five in a row or don’t worry about it. 5 in a row ain’t difficult

@@scrubsscrubs694 to anyone who is unhappy about the games event. As an aside, the developers aren’t stupid in the least, they’ve made like $15 million already on a free game.
If people are complaining right now, imagine what will the community do if they introduce ranked mode.

I got 5 with a dark deck [Weezing, Muk, Nidoking] I did an event battle then used up some bad rng in non event battles then went back to the event. Now I'll get on an just concede for a while here and there to try and help others get their 5 streak

i don't think event is toxic at all i try it with my shitty decks and clear, yes its hard because of randomness of game (coin flips) but the first time Pokémon pocket give me challenge 😄 and that's fun. its fun to play with real people that don't concede after misty hits tail or seeing type disadvantage, now i play event (for more good matches) and concede if i sure i going to winning with "this hit"
it's a skill issue. I got it on my first try easy. With the same deck I've been using since day 1, Articuno Greninja. I got another 5 in a row again with my secondary deck. It's not difficult
I have a Mewtwo deck, but decided to play the event with an off-meta deck for the challenge. It took me one hour and an half to get the five consecutive wins. My friend won 5 in a row with Blaine, first try.
The game is luck dependant, sure, but people act like you can't learn and get better at it.
Honestly, the event gives you the stuff that matters for just partecipating, why are people getting mad for a worthless emblem that most people will stop displaying after a month?
Got mine finished with Weezing and Arbok ironically enough. Fight toxic with toxic types 😂 Got to four wins 8 or 9 times before it finally happened
I got a 10 win streak using a meta (Charcanine and 2 Moltress EX) and a non-meta deck (2 Ditto and Evees) in the event. But toxic people keeps saying "if you don't get a 5 win streak using a meta deck it is a skill issue". These people don't understand that most of your opponent ALSO uses a meta deck in this event. It is not just a matter of skill but a combination of skill AND luck. Even if you don't have coin toss cards or skills that requires coin toss, you still have to be lucky in your card pulls.

I use a blaine set, I was getting match against water decks
I used a newtwo deck,got 4 wins then got stop by a weezing deck
And then i used a weezing arbok wiggly deck and got the 5 streak
And also got the 15 wins for the other mission.
I got to my game 5 a total of three times. I got bricked one of the games, and the other my opponent got good Misty coin flips turn 1. 3rd try my opponent just got a bad hand and i got a KO turn 4 on his solo Pokémon on the field.
What I'm getting at is this game is always going to be a bit luck reliant, and what's fine. A bit of rng makes it more exciting.
I played a Marowak ex deck with Dugtrio. Literally just coin tosses. Got my 5 win streak first try.
That is the name of the game. It's what you signed up for.
I got 5 consecutive wins on 2 accounts. One with a very nonstandard mega deck and another one that is (Arcanine Ex and Moltres). I conceded for 80 games to help people in 2 days.
I got this super easy. It’s not a coin toss if your deck is good enough.
I got first turn on 4 of 5 matches. Still managed to get a 5 streak. I then went and won 3 more for 8 win streak. Not saying I like the turn system but you can manage.
I got 5 in a row with multiple decks, meta and non-meta. Yes, there is R&G, but there is also skill to some of the matches as well. I've had bad matchups and still won. So have fun and keep at it. As for people conceding matches so people can get their emblem, don't do that. That is pointless. This event just started so there is plenty of time for people to readjust their decks to get a better chance of winning 5 in a row. Stop creating easy mode for people just for an emblem, make them earn it!
Got twice losing my 5th streak, and i was about to crash out. But i remembered this is just a mobile game not to be taken seriously, so imma just do the daily and moved on with my life, there are more to offer than this game 😊
Update: 3rd time losing another 5th streak, well that's a sign i guess 😭😭😭
Just lost my 5th streak the second time as well. I'd say don't let the FOMO get to you. Your sanity isn't worth a stupid emblem.
i got 5 consecutive wins with haunter(promo), kangaskhan, hypno. kept going for 9 win streak after.
People like to whine on anything other than building their deck, i completed the challenge with a rapidash, ninetails, farfetched blaine deck with like 10 games
The worst part is the mfs who are battling in the event and have the emblem on display. Like okay bro, what are you even doing here? Gatekeeping?
No but in regular mode people don't even try to win, I wanna play against meta deck abusers so I can get better at beating them, I usually surrender at the turn I'd win to not cancel them out tho

Honestly, they're just the vocal minority complaining about not being able to get the emblem because it's 'hard' and that they want us to 'pay' to win. If they're acting like this, they literally won't survive in other card games lol. I've been getting into 3/4 winstreaks only to brick in that one crucial match. Personally, I'll just play the event and see if I can get to that 5 win streak emblem, if not then so be it and I won't cry about it. Seriously though, it's a card game, luck is part of it, you can have the best meta deck with the highest winrate but you still need to 'play' to win, those Pikachu and Mewtwo decks ain't gonna play themselves and give you the win, just learn to play.

Me too, f2p 5 consecutive wins but I know I got lucky, from reset time to about ~45 minutes in, then gold emblem, got lucky. Getting the 15 wins reward was a bit harder.
got it with the blaine deck its fast no need to setup does big damage and its an easy deck to build
I've been checking everyone's profile after the match (win or lose) and most people sit around level 20isn with less than 100 wins, but card counts in the 1000s. The people getting mad are the casuals, that think they can just buy their way to wins and get mad when the deck they spend money to get flops. Most have good decks, just don't know how to play, bait, pivot, etc. Luck has alot to do with it, as tbh, going second feels better most times. Skill is definitely part of it also tho.

My opinio non his news. I earned my 5 wins the hard way and won them fair and square, As for giving away wins, I don't care and people do what they want, but I don't like it. As for those pressuring me to give out free wins, this is where I draw the line. Just because some want to help out casual players, it does not mean I have to as well. I want to spend my time practicing for tournaments.
RNG has absolutely bricked my games. I can't even get 1 win, let alone 5. DeNA should go back to Masters EX and leave TCG as a PHYSICAL game instead of making it glorified NFTs.
Or your deck just sucks? Not being able to win a single game is just tragic display of stupidity or a bad deck

I'm only doing the event for the hourglasses since its a sweaty event that only gives you a worthless emblem for the effort but I completely understand why people hate it. Nothing but top tier decks in a game with way too many coin flips. It makes sense why people despise it. Pretty poorly thought out pvp event imo.
I had fun, playing against meta decks and finding counters is not very possible in normal games because most people don't even try there.
Finally got a mode where people spam meta decks and I can learn to adjust, yall just rlly bad at the game I think lol
It’s just an emblem. Idk why people are so upset. You already know people are only gonna use pikachu and mewtwo decks. So just build one to counter those. And if you can’t then you don’t deserve the emblem.
Everything is right except just an emblem cuz people don't see it that way, they want it for collection

The cards are worthless and so are the emblems. If you’re not having fun do something else. Death will come for us all, and there is no afterlife. Stop wasting your time on earth being upset. Especially about dumb stuff.

I am someone who like battling in this game and I think this event was a bad idea. The gameplay is already so swingy from coin flips to even just drawing basics and evolution pieces that this just highlights the issues in the game.
