MONSTER FEST DRACULAURA! Monster High Doll Fangtastic Rockin’ Food Truck Playset Unboxing & Review!

- I managed to find the brand new playset from Monster High that ties in with the Monster Fest line!
Draculaura has her own Fangtastic Food Truck that also doubles as a stage for Monster Fest performers to rock out.
This playset retails for $59.00 and I found it at a nearby Walmart.
Now for that price point you would expect the best doll would accompany the playset, right?
Well…….. if only.
The Draculaura doll that comes with the playset is technically a budget doll, with no chest joint, polypropylene hair, and very underwhelming fashion.
She doesn’t deliver in the same way that the four other ghouls from the Monster Fest mainline do, BUT this doll has some charm hidden away in there and secretly I do like her all things considered.

I find it kinda funny that the main ghouls got a super glam look and are partying at Monster Fest, while Draculaura is out here looking busted, cooking, and servicing people all on her own 😅 Kinda feels like the Mattel designers were tired of Draculaura being in every single line and they just said “You will sit this one out girl.” 😂
She’s working two jobs as Tour Manager and working on the Food Truck, she’s too busy to stay fashionable 🥲

Apparently Draculaura must sell regardless of how dirty they do her!
The top is giving bow tie pasta
It would have been so much more fun if they gave Draculaura a Hannah Montana style story for this playset. Like she comes in a basic outfit to sell food and then change her into a dress to perform for MF.
The lack of detail on the guitar is a CRIME
Gosh...Mattel knows what their doing! Put Draculara with the dam playset! They know the stans will buy them 😑🤷♀️😆
I won't, I don't have space for playsets, I'm an adult who collect action figures and some dolls, but we have to be realistic and only buy what we want, and not everything on the checklist.

maybe if you put a cowboy hat on her and added the flower crown to the hat and with some green leggings or diy the jacket green and paint the details neon.
Yes I def gotta do something to make her fashion feel more cohesive, I’ll play around with her and see!

Oh no, poor Draculaura! Her whole doll design is not good at all, especially compared to all her other ghoul-friends from this line! The jacket you put on her helped elevate her look.
Her makeup is so darn pretty though. That's how I felt about the Lagoona that comes just the scaredise playset. I only bought it because it was on a good sale and I love Lagoona's face but the lack of chest joint and the set as a whole was pretty disappointing
Skulltimate Secrets 4 has been found today it was Abbey & Cleo found, then they revealed the name of Skulltimate Secrets 5 its called Garden Mysteries, unfortunately Draculaura is apart of it which i don't get but people even kept on saying Ghoulia was a missed opportunity for the line, which I agree with should have replaced Draculaura with Ghoulia she needs more doll's in general. Excited to see if you do a re-root project, and its good to see you again. Im almost done with my Ghoulia re-root, project from neon Fright's i gave her Curly Candy kiss pink nylon hair with Rain Drop blue nylon hair Curly, with tiny bangs in the front of the head Candy Kiss hair Nylon, with an Evergreens Green hair with Nylon its almost finished, and i will send you an email regarding it soon.
I’m a huge G3 Draculaura fan but I’ll be sitting this one out unless she’s on sale. Part of me wants the playset just to repaint the truck 🤭.
I am a new Monster High collector, weeks old, and l appreciate you vids (which I have binged during work). I have not seen Monster Fest in my area but am very interested in these dolls. I was surprised to see Draculaura on the struggle bus, but I do like her face.
How can anyone spend $60 on a poly head of a character we already have 20+ iterations of? It's heinous.
I wonder if this will sell well long term. We all remember the infamous car and how it’s always going on sale and being included in sets…
Honestly, if it saves on labor costs and in the end the overall product, I'd rather put the stickers on myself. I'd be more accurate than someone trying to meet a stressful deadline on an assembly line.
Yeah the stickers weren’t so bad, I was a tad bit drama about the whole thing but it only took about 10 minutes to apply them

This sucks too because the doll herself is so pretty, but her outfit, the poly hair, and the food truck weigh her down badly. 😭

Draculaura is disappointing, but I totally think you have the skills to mke her fabulous. ❤❤ always enjoy your videos anyway. I get so frustrated with things being so expensive in NZ. That food truck will be $100 ish here! The Fearescent Skulltimate secrets are still about $70 whick works out to about $45 USD. And we only just got Scaradise dolls here a few months ago. And nothing ever goes on sale for less than half. Usually branded stuff like MH will go down to 30% off at most. Sigh!
Poor Draculaura. I know they put the budget in the truck but she really should have come with a better guitar like you said!
the giant contrast between the rest of the monster fest line and this… i feel like most collectors were blown away by the amount of detail in monster fest for $25 retail, but they did draculaura so dirty… i find it hard to believe kids would rather have this than a monster fest draculaura, especially with how popular she is. i see very little people planning on buying this compared to the profit a well designed mf draculaura would bring. they could just sell a play set separately. seems like a very bad decision on mattel’s part

I love her face, the doll at my Walmart looks like she has purple hair and am thinking of rerooting one of my spare Draculaura's with purple hair!
I still would like to purchase the food truck for that gorgeous face on Draculaura, and for my kids to play with ^^
It's sad to know that she has no chest joint, but her face makes up for it! I know the lack of earrings are a bit jarring not to have on a doll, but I don't have pierced ears, so got a small connection with her ^^
The 60$ price is a biggie, but i just might...if she's still there at my local Wal-Mart when payday comes around o.o
I refuse to believe the truck cost so much to make that they had to pluck the saran out of drac's head and also fuck up her outfit, the truck is largely unpainted too!

The doll’s face is very pretty. Too bad about the outfit, though. Maybe if you cut the bow off of the top and found her a new skirt? Her flower crown is a gorgeous sculpt, but badly needs help from some paint. I briefly thought about getting this play set in order to display my dolls on the stage. I’ve definitely changed my mind, though. The stage is much smaller than I thought it would be from the stock photos, and the doll herself needs a lot of work. It would probably be better to make my own doll stage out of foam board or wood.

I think she’s a pass. I hate that truck the price and poly hair shame her face is good and boots are cute hopefully they’ll reuse them I’d rather she got a monster fest doll like the rest. Idk if kids would like this maybe I think they’ll be the only consumers of this with exceptions of completionist

I’d definitely not be getting her unless she is on a big sale. It’s just sad that she loss so much detail of her original concept especially the painted details on her flower crown. I actually like her skirt but the outfit as whole is lacking now. I think there could have been a better way to lessen her cost while still staying consistent with her design and the other ghouls. Molding and sculpting details are great I just hope Mattel learns to add the painted elements in the future.

I feel like if she's out here cooking she needs pants, an apron maybe a cropped shirt. Like that pasta shirt would get dipped in oil. I would give her a nylon reroot with white, grape/pink and a tiny piece of that eye green. Black would probably be better but I would do white just because.

I wanted her so bad, but her hair is so gross. :( I seen her in stores like a week ago here which i found to be very weird. we usually get nothing early or even on time. I love rerooting but it's just not affordable to reroot every poly doll I buy. Especially after just spending 60 on the set then you have to spend another 20 minimum to reroot just 1 color. Ugh. But I do love her eyemakeup. Its such a shame for the skulltimates. But for those new series 4 i feel is worth it to slowly replace the hair.. but again at 30 a pop and then an additional $20+ and 3 days of work. Why no saran? Poly makes my skin crawl touching it.
