offtopic:Ive never been a fan of using reach/wingspan measurements.
As I think the real reach measurement should be from;
the shoulder, to the fist that is outstretched infront of the face
I disagree about 1 arm from the shoulder... it would have to be from the spine to the middle knuckle, because it isn't just arm length that matters for reach.
Nice thought in theory. Stand in front of someone with that build who has movement and rotation and let us know.
Well, the range comes from the hip rotation, and a broader shoulder to shoulder width is a measure of how much leverage yuou can out into the punch as well
Kayla's 1st Takedown looked scary, she just went in and lifted that women
Cotton is a super tough woman. Harrison was just too big, too talented, too strong, too technical.

She'll be fighting at Invicta FC today at 145 so we'll see how that goes. Ideally she could be the one to bring life to that division, and maybe one day she could challenge Amanda. However, I'm getting WAY ahead of myself.
Kayala is not ready for Ufc , her striking needs a lot work . She reminds of Rhonda , one dimensional fighter with just grappling/ judo

That seemed like kind of a crappy stoppage to me. The fighter on top was missing half her strikes and the one on bottom was still trying to fight and could have gotten out of the position.

She laid there after the stoppage and was not even protesting the stoppage, she could have got really hurt but you can not even give her credit for clearly dominating the fight and winning. What fight were you watching.

As many times as she was hit she could suffer brain damage. One fall in skiing killed Natasha Richardson and she didn't realize how bad off she was and took to long to get to a hospital. Internal bleeding can kill.

Now and Later Yeah and it was illegal that’s the only reason she managed to land it, Kayla didn’t expect her to throw and land an illegal kick that could have gotten her DQ’d.
I think she could absolutely beat cyborg.She’s super strong with good skills and is barley starting out in this sport.
I don’t understand why the ref didn’t call Cotton out for those illegal kicks to the face...Not even a warning!
There was more than one and they were obviously intentional.
Every once in a while a fighter comes along with little mma experience yet are such good athletes and competitors that they don’t need a ton of fights before they can hang with the top fighters of their weight class. She is absolutely someone that is able to beat a lot of top fighters with not much cage time.

Even though she was losing, she wasn't really hurt and was deflecting much of the punches away from her face. In stopping the fight this way, the referee shows a lack of professionalism.

Somebody is gonna quickly figure out that Kayla wins when she only takes down her opponent judo style. She struggles with boxing while on her feet. If someone is defensively taught well against take downs, Kayla’s winning days would be over. This reminds me of Rhonda Rousey takedowns and submit people is an arm bar. She was then defeated by a boxer (Holly Holmes) and another boxer (Amanda Nunes). Rhonda wasn’t able to do takedowns on those two because they were aware of them and were taught to defend against them.
Elite takedowns with decent strikes is hard to counter.
Nope. Rhonda didn’t try to take either of them down. She was led to believe her striking was on par with the elite women strikers by her trainer
Casey Yordy I agree because they were already on guard against that. They were really trained and taught to remain on their feet when fighting Rhonda Rousey or you lose.

155 pounds is not light. Has obesity epidemic cause people to forget what normal is. They are taller than average and not excessively thin so how is this a light weight division?
Kayla is going to have to work on her striking. Josette was throwing decent hands from her back. Josette definitely had the better hands. Kayla is just too strong.... you could argue early stoppages but it was inevitable

155 and 156 is massive for light weight also they are both tall so not unusual to weigh that. Usually think of light weight as shorter thinner women.
155 should be light weight for man, not woman they are taller than average women and not skinny so they should not be considered light weight.

Kayla looked more natural in her striking after two fights than Ronda did after eight fights.
Rousey didn't really need it. Her takedowns were fast and fluid and lead straight into her armbars. Aside from being judoka's they are totally different fighters. It's like comparing Ali to Roy Jones Jr because they were both in the Olympics.

lets be honest... Harrison is VERY good but with that said she was fighting straight SCRUBBBBBSSSSS... UFC is gona be FARRRRR different... Now with that said i do think she can compete at the highest lvl in the UFC but its not gona be anywhere even close to being the cake walk shes been having... This is a whole different game in the UFC its gona be very interesting to see what she can do against the best in the world...

Looks like Harrison is yet another take down artist. 15-0 is appreciably good but then has never fought someone who can take her down just as easily! Be interesting to see how good she performed against Nunes or Lee. Would make a good match. A record of 15-0 normally means that your opponents are of no great threat!

A Kayla é excelente lutadora esta se destacando muito no UFC, porem precisa fazer pelo menos umas 2 ou 3 lutas para enfrentar a Amanda NUnes. Será preciso enfrentar lutadoras de melhor nível como Shevchenko , Cris Ciborg, ou Holly Holms ,Será preciso passar por duas lutas dessas três opções citadas, se a Kayla vencer aí sim, deve enfrentar a Amanda.

It might be. Someone had a theory that maybe the solution to a barren division that is Women's 145 is to up the weight class to 155 because most female athletes are around 155lbs.
