omigawdz BEAUTIFUL! you are a pro- no mess, no drips , no spills! i've made herbal soap (with tallow) in a homesteading class and lip balm at home. this makes me want to do soap again (vegan). I was always afraid of LYE.... it seemed so dangerous during my workshop but this video made it seem simple and safe.
I didn’t make soap for years because I was afraid of lye. Once I did it it wasn’t so scary I regretted not doing it sooner. Just be safe and you’ll be fine :)
@@OpheliasSoaperyI cannot find a post where they add the SL to oils, is it safe like that? Everyone said to add it to cooled lye water. Please help! Thanks!
Hi! I love it and can't wait to do it myself. I won't be using mica but hopefully it'll turn out pretty anyway 😊. How much colloidal oatmeal do we use? Thanks!
I have always wondered what your setup is like for when you make your lye solution. Do you wear a respirator to protect your lungs? I typically mix mine outside since my soap room has poor ventilation
Loved watching the measured oils, water and lye recipe. It’s an art as well as science and math. Excellent video! And I haven’t even watched the whole video!!!
Why don't you measure your oils separately for better accuracy? Same with the water and lye? Lastly, what did you put the colloidal oatmeal into? Looked like an oil. End product looks lovely though.
I’m confused. What do you mean? I am measuring them out accurately with a scale in the video. Also in the video it shows me measuring out the olive oil. Then I add the colloidal oatmeal to the olive oil.
@@OpheliasSoapery when I measure oils I do each one separately so I don't accidentally add too much of one oil. I did not see that you were adding the oatmeal to olive oil. I'll watch again...
Love these colors! I made a Fairy Fig with similiar colors with a touch of white too and of coarse glitter naturally! Butters n oats are such a luxurious soap!🌹✨💥
They are so pretty! Great video
Bello y de lujo !!

I love that you use the heat transfer method. Never gets old to watch. I love!
I have learned so much from watching your videos. Thank you😍
i love this recipe so much
I’d like to know how you would add sodium lactate to this recipe, also how much colloidal oatmeal can I use per pound of oils please! Thank you!
When I used sodium lactate I would just add it to my oils. I use 1 tbsp per pound of oils of colloidal oatmeal.
@@OpheliasSoapery thank you!

You can add it to your oils. I don’t use sodium lactate anymore. But when I did I would just add it to my liquid oils :)
@@OpheliasSoapery thank you!
Very nice, thank you for sharing
Absolute ASMR!😍
that looks magnificent! and thankyou so much for kindly sharing your recipe too x
Fantastic colours!!
Thank you so much for sharing your processes. This slab turned out beautiful.
I like the heat transfer method! How long do you let the melted butters to cool before combining it with the olive oil? Thank you!
As soon as they are melted I add the olive oil. The room temperature olive oil cools down the melted oils :)
@@OpheliasSoapery Thank you!😊
I click on to watch your video, and was super surprised to see the entire making. Perfect video for a really bad night at work

Lovely :-) ... love watching your video's :-)

No I do not wear a respirator as long as your face is not directly over the container you’ll be fine :)
Beautiful as always 🥰
Do you have the amounts to use
Yes it’s in the first few seconds of the video. :)
So beautiful ❤️
The pattern on the mat is really luxurious!👍
Soap is so beautifully made!😍👏👍💗

OOhh I see. If I add too much of a hard oil or butter I will simply take it out :)
When I add the liquid I’m very careful :)
I absolutely adore these! I've used an impression mat, and they end up looking gorgeous! Just like yours!

Just curious what is the height of your slab cutter?
Precioso maestra jabonera
IS THIS A HARD BAR WHEN CURED?
YES. If it’s gelled :)
I absolutely love watch you. I could do it for hours. Be my mentor please
What happens to the pieces to thin to sell as soap?
They go in my sample packs.
