Dear Sir. Thank you for putting this Marenghi Organ on TH-cam. It has brought back a lot of memories to me as I used to play the organ for Bernard Broad. I well remember Jory Bennet asking for a particular tune “thanks for the buggy ride”. Yours faithfully Stephen Tresidder.
By far the nicest recording of the organ so far and good choice of music that actually suits the vb system properly. What a treat! 'The Grasshopper's Dance' is one of it's party pieces from years ago. I don't think any other organ plays it quite so well. I've always thought 'Coconuts' a John Cocchi arr from internal evidence of the embellishments used. May be I'm wrong but Ben Varetto was a more accomplished marker and at his best gets confused with Blache.
Thank you Jory! I did think the cymbal came out sounding a bit too loud, but apart from that I was quite happy with how the video turned out. The organ was playing very well on the weekend!
The only day i wasn't at the keyframe and i played all the old and rare books too!, so many great books with this organ that need recording. 29:33 Out of the Blue. Arrangers - 1,2,3,4,8, 10, 12 - Louis Blache for Chiappa Ltd. 5,6 Ben Varetto for Chiappa Ltd. 9. James Tiller for Chiappa Ltd. 11.Gaudin et Cie. 7. Kevin Meayers.
And again you do me proud! I'm going to the Dorset Steam Fair. Can't wait

Thanks for this info Peter! Shame I did not get to hear too many rarer books, I had heard this organ has quite some repertoire!
Great video, it's a great sounding 98 key Marenghi
Thanks, it really is a great sounding instrument, my video really doesn't do it justice!
