There is a category of people which should be fired from all organizations immediately...
They are responsible for sucking the good culture away from any community... be it a work team, an office space, or even a family...
It’s those who follow the DARVO method...
Whenever you provide any productive criticism on how they can improve something... or tell them where their behaviour is wrong... they immediately
D - Deny - the allegation
A - Attack - the person who has just given constructive feedback
RVO - Reverse the Victim Oppressor relationship
They will immediately start telling you that in fact all their pain and misery is because of you, and you are the one who is oppressing them.. and they are the poor victim who is being targeted.
This is one of the easiest to tell signs of narcissism and should be plugged out immediately.
As it’s often said, Culture eats Strategy for breakfast.
And no matter how skilled or talented these people are, please do not let such behaviour propagate... as it’ll take away all the effort you’ve put in to build a strong and united team.
