    Get a cheap endoscope and check the heads. Worked great to check if my engine needed cleaning. Still clean with 205k miles

      Heard that! Would love to see up close what the inside of all the motors look like! Prelude, Accord, and Tacoma!

    Got my 98 4runner with the 5vz motor back last year in October. It had a bad clatter to it in addition to a lifter tick. Had a rough idle too. I put half a quart of MMO and 5.5 quart of 15w-40 and over the course of a thousand miles or so that clatter and lifter tick went away! Idle improved too. I also had what I believe was engine ping. When I opened the throttle and was under load the nice motor noise cut out and sounded like metal shavings bouncing around near the front. I also put MMO in the fuel tank and that gradually went away as well. Just wanted to share!

      Sounds like it worked out for ya. MMO stands for? I’m new here lol

      @@ConnorLee Marvel Mystery Oil. You can it at Walmart and auto parts stores. It’s def more of a slow cleaner.

    What exhaust are you running? Sounds beefy, not much rasp. Is it super loud at hwy speed? Sounds about as good as a 3.4 can sound

    • @ConnorLee
      @ConnorLee  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not really installed much on the exhaust. When I bought the truck it had a muffler delete out to rusty dual tips and I believe it has a glasspack on it too. I got rid. of the horrendous dual exit exhaust and just added a single pipe out to where it normally exits from the factory.

    Great vid. I’m looking at a 1998 taco with 51k miles on it tomorrow. Guys asking 3500 and I do know the frame is rusted. Any recommendations for how bad the frame would be in order for it to be a pass? Thanks.

    • @nickdavid7656
      @nickdavid7656 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For it being $3500 the frame has to be falling apart. You can’t buy these trucks under 200k for under 4 grand

    • @muziklvr7776
      @muziklvr7776 ปีที่แล้ว

      See if the frame is under recall, you can get a new one for free if it's.
