[My first 2.2 layout] "Starfield" by Smuliis (me) - 2.2 Layout | Geometry Dash

It's funny how the idea of rolling a random gd song led to the creation of one of my better layouts.
This is the first layout that I've finished in the new 2.2 update! I had a fun time building this layout and trying out some of the new gameplay features. I really like the purple orb, it makes up for awesome click sync and and variety from the black orb. It feels like it can complement the black orb in some cases. The idea was to make a regular layout that eases the player (and also me as the creator) to the new 2.2 features. I kinda got overwhelmed by everything new in the editor so I pretty much stuck to regular gameplay with a sprinkle of 2.2. I hope you enjoy this!

This is not related to the level but if you've read this far I might as well bring up a thought that I have about layout creation... As of recent, I've seen how the standard of layouts has gone up a lot with a bunch of effects and such, and I feel like it takes away from its true meaning, being the bare-bones for your level ideas. I really like the simple and raw layouts like how JonathanGD, Zoroa, and Xender Game do them because it shows how the level is laid down and how it'll work.
Some people might call the cube at 1:10 rushed, but to me, it's one of the better parts (Although, 0:58 might be rushed.. call me lazy for that if you want xD). While the structures and effects do look amazing, I feel like most of the time is going toward making the viewers satisfied rather than the players.
(I made up the name for the level right on the spot, but I will probably change it later)
