Sorry car was miss firing and I went to change plugs. The customer said they haven't been don't in years. When I took them out the plug cylinders were full of oil and the plug seals are built into the valve cover. Sorry for not going over that.
@@streetstancecivicgarage if the plug seals are built in to the valve cover, and you can’t swap them out, is it a good idea to buy a new valve cover? Or will the valve cover gasket fix the oil leaking onto the spark plug?
I think you are talking about the 3 green injectors behind the valve cover in the beginning of the video. If not please let me know I will find out for you.
Their charging that because it does take that long. But that price is for both valve covers. The back one is the hardest to get to and where all the time is spent.
I got a 2012 and I need to get this done to mine I called Nissan and the labor is like 700 dollars I have bought the spark plugs and valve cover gaskets I’m also going to get new coil packs as well
About to change my valve cover gasket in the back and didn't know I had to put gasket maker first thank you for the video
Your welcome
Hi friend waiting part 2
I see you skipped that last bolt on the bottom right under that black plastic box holding those wires up, 😂😂
That was the only reason I was watching to see how he handled that issue. I see he cut that plastic support off the valve cover
Literally same problem here
Thanks for heads up lol
Thank you for the video! This is going to be very helpful in getting the project done on my 2010 Maxima.
Your welcome.
You just saved my friend from a $4,000 ass whoopin!
On the back of the engine was that two camshaft sensors or were those something else
Cam sensors.
Does anyone know the toque specs for this specific valve cover bolts
2 steps 1st 26lbs second step 65 lbs 55lbs if you are using cork gasket start from center out
Is that inch pounds?
Would this be the same for a 2011 maxima?
Should be thanks for watching.
What was in the tube you applied to seal the new gasget. Would help is you let us know. Thanks for the video sir!!!!
Rtv silicone for oil
I wouldn't do it like that only put silicone on 2 corners
Agree, Way Too much silicone. Couple dabs of Black RTV inThe corners would be sufficient
What's that grey stuff u put on it
Rtv silicone for oil surfaces.
Yeah, I actually wanted to see part 2 where you have to remove the manifold.
Whats the time frame on this job? Someone quoted ma $1100
It took me about 6 hrs to do it.
I’m not a professional and it takes me 1hr 2 max my 1st try was about 3 tho
This just saved me money, thanks man 🫡
Your welcome. Thanks for watching.

@@Ricardo-RAC yes you will have to buy new valve covers. That's the only way to fix it.
What are the green connectors called? One of them snapped and I wanted to replace them thanks
