Man ,Robbie Robertson was one of those rare guys who was overflowing with intelligence , experience and plain and simple street smarts that you could have listened to all day long without getting distracted ? What the late ,great ,brilliant musician / raconteur , did not know about the music business ,you could have typed up on the back of a postage stamp ! Mesmerising !
I'd never heard that story about Ronnie Hawkins sending Robbie to the Brill Building as a song scout. I already knew that I want to hear any Interview Robbie ever did, but now I know that I'll check out any interview that Whoopi ever did.

Saw the Band with Taj Mahal. I remember seeing David Crosby's name on free ticker list. I used to see Goldberg on the 51 bus in Berkeley when I lived in Oakland . I knew who she was cause she hosted the Comedian show on KQED and she was with the theater co. in Berkeley. Don't regret never talking to her. I do regret never talking to Robin Williams all the times I would run into him on the streets in S.F.
