I totally agree. I know of a person dealing with a lifetime issue due to
misconduct on all legal parties' behalf. The police never questioned
the defendant so the defendant was never given a chance to respond to
the accusation during the investigation to provide an alibi. The
plaintiff admitted on the stand during preliminary that the offender was
someone else but the judge still continued the trial. The defendant
even had an alibi but the defense attorney absolutely refused to present
the various pieces of evidence as a defense. The defense attorney NEVER
subpoenaed any witnesses provided to him. It was heard outside the
courtroom the defense attorney had already made a deal with the
prosecutor in regards to another case in which they were both involved.
Besides the previously stated reasons, the defendant had already taxed
all financial resources and the defense attorney required an additional
$25k if we went to trial, as well as the case had already drug on for almost 2
years putting undue hardship and mental anguish on the defendant and his
family, thus, a plea had to take place, or suicide was evident. I truly wish
there were legal counsel in this area with your high standard of thinking and
integrity. Keep up the great work, Ms. Henry, and thank you for all you
    do.

Thank you so much for everything you do even this presentation it's so needed and appreciated we are fighting for an individual who was only 14 years old when he was wrongfully convicted his own defense attorney has continuously kept his documents away from him so he cannot file a proper appeal or even know his information on his case after 15 years and only because we had to file a complaint was he able to get his documents turned over to him and now we found so much evidence and information was never brought to his attention so my question to you is do defense attorneys also have that absolute immunity

Make a basic rule. Any resources spent by the procecution should be doubled for the defense. So if the procuter spend $100 then the defense recive $200. There would be no more problems with underfinanced defense lawyers.

i wa convicted for a crime thet never happened one time in my life. we can talk about caccountability for police and prosecutors...that is a waste of time because the problem is the culture of lawyers. in that culture, from prosecutors tp defense attorney;'s , the consciousness of the cfulture of lawyers is corrupt because these lawyers are :officers of the court" and they must do what they are told, also, there is too much money involved for the police courts, lawyers and jails to act justly; it is not a legal system or a justice system: it is a conviction only

Correction, the attorneys can (be sued) for not performing his or her “fiduciary duty” to the client 👌🏾💼
