There has never been a musician and meistersinger to rival this young man and yes, he composes too and some of his songs are equally as fine as those of Igor Krutoy. Dimash is the reason that Igor came out of retirement and both are perfectionists but love working together, as there are no ego problems in their working relationship, just mutual respect and fondness. Great reaction. Remember that Dimash is a Classically trained Opera Singer. He does not just hit the notes. He "acts" the song out. Those "looks" and his whole performance is a package. Has anyone mentioned to you that for many weeks DQ has been in LA where he'd been given a year's worth of scholarship in "Direction" at the NY Academy of Film but it's reported after meeting some young wonderful musicians and meeting up with old friends to work on an incomplete joint project, he decided to give his scholarship up to a student who without the financial help would never be able to attend. THIS is DQ's endearing character for which we Dears, his fans love him in the extreme! While I love every rendition of every song DQ sings, there are some that reveal certain aspects of his virtuosity that are unique to The Dimash Experience. If you are ever able to get concert tickets to see DQ LIVE no matter how expensive the flight may be, grant yourself this one act of self-love and go. I have never had enough cash for airfare because his tickets are more than reasonable given the experience you are given but it's my hope DQ will give a concert in either the US or Latin America where he has an ever growing Spanish speaking fan base of Dears. If you want to be immersed in DQ's artistry then react to first The Story of One Sky and then its LIVE version. DQ has asked us to spread the MV far and wide without threat of copyright strike but when you do, remember to put the message before the voice singing it, narrating the Story of One Sky. (PS: I state openly here & now, so there is no misunderstanding between myself and any of my fellow Dears, whilst true DQ worked on the composition for approximately 3 years, the project was thrown into high gear with Russia's invasion of Ukraine). Dimash was trained in dramatic performance arts in Opera and also in Musical Theatre, so, yes, he can do Epic! This performance was the first where Igor Krutoy had written a piece especially for 'The Voice of Dimash'. (After all, who else on the planet could sing it!?) In fact, he was quite nervous before going on stage. As you can see, the venue and audience was huge for this; the 2019 Opening Ceremony of the European Games,and of course many hundreds of millions more watching on TV / On-line from every home country. So this meant a great opportunity for much bigger audience exposure for Dimash, now into Western Europe. The songs lyrics are all about urging the athletes to go forth and do their best. # Even MORE impressive is how he soldiered on despite his inner ear monitors not working, for much of the piece. You'll notice he repeatedly touches them, trying to signal to the sound engineers that he was 'getting nothing'!, whilst trying to make those movements look like part of the performance. The relaxation of strain on his face as he steps forward after the end note tells the whole story, of just how focussed he had to be to get through this as professionally as he did. Good thing he has perfect pitch and timing isn't it!?!

However, you’re referring to three separate events: the premiere of this song took place at the opening ceremony of the European Games in Minsk, Belarus (where he wore the turquoise jacket embroidered with his country’s emblem). The other event (when he sang Olímpico at a closing ceremony in the same costume as in this video) was for the WorldSkills competition in Kazan, Russia (you could see some of the seats had been vacated because there was a rainstorm just before - it was before the pandemic, in 2019). All wonderful renditions of an inspiring song!
Actually, his concerts are generally more than 3 and a half hours long, he LOOOVES the stage, the crowd, and leaves EVERYTHING out on the stage ... he would stay on all night if his musicians and dancers weren't worn out, haha! Dimash live is something I can't begin to explain - he brings the music down to share, takes everyone with him ....the energy through the crowd is electric!

Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. Who will be 29 years old in May. This song was originally written for the European Games in 2019. Dimash perform it there and unfortunately COVID hit! This was performed in Kazakhstan. This was his first solo concert in his homeland! It was amazing!
I'm a huge progrock fan (Tool, Dream Theater, Rush, etc...), and this venue (and many others like this) should actually not be my cup of tea. But I can't stop watching it. Dimash is marvelous. And Igor with this piece has gotten my respect and forgiveness for the softcore belle époque pop-music genre he'd sold his soul for many decades ago. Cheers from Russia.

I believe he has been in voice training since he was five. His grandmother recognized his perfect pitch as a child. He practices every day for 3 hours and has a Ph.D. in Music. He spent his life in Music, both his parents are singers and performers. This is a wonderful hard-working family who gives back to their country and communities. He is in his later 20s and loves to help young singers. Plays 8 instruments. For his music, training, and dedication, he should receive a gold medal in singing. Has anyone mentioned to you that for many weeks DQ has been in LA where he'd been given a year's worth of scholarship in "Direction" at the NY Academy of Film but it's reported after meeting some young wonderful musicians and meeting up with old friends to work on an incomplete joint project, he decided to give his scholarship up to a student who without the financial help would never be able to attend. THIS is DQ's endearing character for which we Dears, his fans love him in the extreme! While I love every rendition of every song DQ sings, there are some that reveal certain aspects of his virtuosity that are unique to The Dimash Experience. If you are ever able to get concert tickets to see DQ LIVE no matter how expensive the flight may be, grant yourself this one act of self-love and go. I have never had enough cash for airfare because his tickets are more than reasonable given the experience you are given but it's my hope DQ will give a concert in either the US or Latin America where he has an ever growing Spanish speaking fan base of Dears. If you want to be immersed in DQ's artistry then react to first The Story of One Sky and then its LIVE version. DQ has asked us to spread the MV far and wide without threat of copyright strike but when you do, remember to put the message before the voice singing it, narrating the Story of One Sky. (PS: I state openly here & now, so there is no misunderstanding between myself and any of my fellow Dears, whilst true DQ worked on the composition for approximately 3 years, the project was thrown into high gear with Russia's invasion of Ukraine). Dimash should be a household name by now & I can't help feel we, his Dears, could & should do a lot more to help him.
Dimash was trained in dramatic performance arts in Opera and also in Musical Theatre, so, yes, he can do Epic! This performance was the first where Igor Krutoy had written a piece especially for 'The Voice of Dimash'. (After all, who else on the planet could sing it!?) In fact, he was quite nervous before going on stage. As you can see, the venue and audience was huge for this; the 2019 Opening Ceremony of the European Games,and of course many hundreds of millions more watching on TV / On-line from every home country. So this meant a great opportunity for much bigger audience exposure for Dimash, now into Western Europe. The songs lyrics are all about urging the athletes to go forth and do their best.
# Even MORE impressive is how he soldiered on despite his inner ear monitors not working, for much of the piece. You'll notice he repeatedly touches them, trying to signal to the sound engineers that he was 'getting nothing'!, whilst trying to make those movements look like part of the performance. The relaxation of strain on his face as he steps forward after the end note tells the whole story, of just how focussed he had to be to get through this as professionally as he did. Good thing he has perfect pitch and timing isn't it!?!

However, you’re referring to three separate events: the premiere of this song took place at the opening ceremony of the European Games in Minsk, Belarus (where he wore the turquoise jacket embroidered with his country’s emblem). The other event (when he sang Olímpico at a closing ceremony in the same costume as in this video) was for the WorldSkills competition in Kazan, Russia (you could see some of the seats had been vacated because there was a rainstorm just before - it was before the pandemic, in 2019).

Indeed, Igor composed this for Dimash specifically, he also composed "Stranger" for him, and composed a new version of "Ave Maria" for him as well.
Dimash knows how to get into the character that the song needs, and he is very focused when he sings, but outside the performance he doesn`t take himself extremely seriously. In a livestream with his fans once, a fan said to him 'you`re the best singer in the world', and Dimash said 'no'. His backing vocalist was with him for translation purposes, and asked Dimash, 'why do you say you`re not the best ?' ; Dimash paused, looking like too many thoughts were going through his mind, then said only 'You`re too young to understand', and for the fan he added 'Just, thank you for your kind words'.
He`s a guy confident in his many hours of practice (daily), but he`s never cocky, and never fails to be respectful, which is one of the things that make his fans love him dearly.

Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. Who will be 29 years old in May. This song was originally written for the European Games in 2019. Dimash perform it there and unfortunately COVID hit! This was performed in Kazakhstan. This was his first solo concert in his homeland! It was amazing!
I'm a huge progrock fan (Tool, Dream Theater, Rush, etc...), and this venue (and many others like this) should actually not be my cup of tea. But I can't stop watching it. Dimash is marvelous. And Igor with this piece has gotten my respect and forgiveness for the softcore belle époque pop-music genre he'd sold his soul for many decades ago.

I believe he has been in voice training since he was five. His grandmother recognized his perfect pitch as a child. He practices every day for 3 hours and has a Ph.D. in Music. He spent his life in Music, both his parents are singers and performers. This is a wonderful hard-working family who gives back to their country and communities. He is in his later 20s and loves to help young singers. Plays 8 instruments. For his music, training, and dedication, he should receive a gold medal in singing.
