Interesting and a bit heartstopping at some points. Enjoyed seeing the wildlife. I must be honest that these towns look devoid of heart and soul. Thanks for the virtual experience.

I remembered the opening scene of the movie "The Shining".

One thing I learned over the years is that when it’s a pure conifer forest it’s not natural and has been altered in the past with plantings and herbicides to prevent deciduous trees from growing. Can really tell on this video on the sides of the road where they trim the trees back that it’s all deciduous trees growing back and that’s how the natural forest would look with pines and spruce mixed in.

nope. At this altitude, conifers were the native species. They've been decimated by pine beetle infestations and wildfires though.

@@DarthFurball Conifers are a native species but they are not the dominant native species. Okanagan mountain park has a very similar elevation and after the forest fire of 2003 they decided to let the forest regenerate naturally and it’s mainly deciduous trees that are growing back. It’s especially noticeable in fall as most of them are aspen and turn the top of the mountain bright yellow.

It's a wonder you don't see an animal among those trees. Or on the roadside.

You need to bring 60fps to your videos.
