Hi, Great video on how to make the scrolling matrix, which I used and made one. Worked PERFECTLY. Only have one question, maybe at my age (78) I'm missing something. You plugged the 5 wires in one matrix. How do you connect it to the second matrix so they are touching (side by side). Do you solder or use wires. Can you please post a photo of the back side of the dual matrix. And maybe a simple explanation as to how you connected them. I've looked all over the internet and people say you can connect them but don's show how. I would REALLY APPRECIATE your reply.

Would it be possible to make one of these that is 128 x 16 (2 modules high and 4 modules wide, each module being 4 of these 8x8 led units) and have separate (preprogrammed) messages displayed when triggered by external momentary switches?
Would there be someone willing to help me with the Arduino code for something like this? I can manage the construction of the circuit, but I’m certainly no Arduino developer…. Seems like this should be possible though.
I successfully upload and ran the scrolling text sample. But that's about it. I want it to scroll it whenever I want. Not all the time.
How do you modify the Parola_Scroll to make the text scroll at certain time. For example, when my sensor read certain value, then it displays in scrolling text.
or maybe add Bluetooth module to it. So you can receive text from your phone instead of getting it from keyboard.
I understand only line where it says " char newMessage[BUF_SIZE] = { " ....." }; " and " strcpy(curMessage, newMessage); "
