@tekinsight2905 I guess I have less losses in my transmission 😉 regardless I think it is good that we all start to mention it. I have not seen it mentioned in any videos, not even a rough approximation. Thanks for providing 20 minutes to the data log 👍
Probably, but hard to tell. Are the suspension height levels changing normally depending on drive mode? Did the tubes fully extend when the front end was raised? You can probably try disabling it and then drive off letting it reset on its own. Not a guarantee but it won't hurt to try.
If it hadn't been changed ever since, I suggest not touching it. Most often than not, replacing high-mileage oil that's never been replaced would only cause slippage. YMMV though.
Outstanding instructional video…
Thanks for watching!
Nice overview on your video either good info.
Have you changed the fluid since? Curious to how the fluid/trans has held up!?
isnt the car supposed to be leveled in order to get the correct fluid level?
I put in only the amount of fluid drained out.
Per BMW and ZF that designs and builds the transmission the vehicle should be level.
For me it took 30 minutes from 20 to 40°C and then 10 minutes more more for 45°C. B48 2018.
That sounds a bit long, mine took about 20mins to get to min required temp.

Hi, great job and thanks for the video. Can I reuse the plastic drain plug or should a new one be used? Is there any risk of loss if it is reused?
Sorry, this may be a little late. I reused it here but I may be replacing it along with the drain pan later on.
Isn't the ZF trans pretty sensitive to non-ZF fluids? How's it running so far?
It feels smoother/quieter, though shifts feel like they aren't as aggressive as before. Still faster than most torque converter transmissions.
Bro u need to drop the pan to get most of the fluid out
I jacked up my front end to check the brakes but did not disable the air suspension. Now I get clunking over rough roads. Could this be related?

@@tekinsight2905 It was actually the brake pads clunking in the calipers. Air suspension working fine. Thanks
@@kalani1987 Good catch! Did the vhb on the backing plate lose its adhesive or are the pads aftermarket without the vhb tape? Just curious.
@@tekinsight2905 It was aftermarket. Previous owner put non OEM pads on there
dear my car bmw F02///730LI //2013 it run 155,000KM you recommended to change transmission oil with filter

Depending on your driving style, if you’re driving normal I recommend you to change the oil transmission
This Lico Moly is not completely synthetic. Wouldn't it be better to put it completely synthetic?
I have no reason to doubt what's written on their website.
It's fully synthetic. Check there website.
how much does 1L of that ATF cost
Under $9 from FCP Euro. Amazon has it for about twice that price.
