- How to stabilise a model when inertial relief and soft springs don't work in Solid Works Simulation FEA.
This particular solutions shows how to use advanced contact sets within the set up of a multi part assembly FEA. By changing node to surface to surface to surface, it is possible to get a stubborn static analysis to run. Without this trick you'll get the messages about large displacements and "Equilibrium is not acheived"
In this video I also show how to define contact sets and show the width mate function in Solidworks 2018.

Your video has so much USEFUL information packed in it. Thank you! Please do more FEA videos
Tons of great info in this video, thanks for taking the time to share this info!
well done.
more simulation would be great.
Loved the video, everything made easy. Though I would like to see the stress singularity video as mentioned because I don't know whether to trust my results half the time not knowing if it is a singularity.
Excuse me sir I was wondering where do I find programs that run simulations like that for me? Very good video my friend keep up the good work and Merry Christmas.
Why not use symmetry to prevent the imbalance?
thanx fro your video it had quite good information but my simulation kept having the same problem
So, I did all of this. And the error still show up. So asked a few of my friend and they say it is because of my fixed geometry.
