I do wish more people could work it out the way you did. I know of to many splits that are nasty. In my family its been about 50:50. Thanks for all your travels, most of which I will never do. I did travel with a friend up until Covid stopped our travels. He wanted to visit every McD's in the US and Canada. We did visit about 6000, our of 14,000. I have been to every McD's in many states. Not many can say they have been to every McD's in Florida or Maine or Utah, etc.

Jacob, Thank you for sharing. I know exactly what you went through with your Divorce. I went through similar with mine. My ex and I are still friends & we are always there for each other. As well as our two adult kids & grandson. I am so excited for you & Jenn & your new adventures!
I can offer some suggestions for Upstate NY: Watkins Glen, Adirondacks, 1000 Islands, Frank Baum's hometown in Chittenango (Wrote Wizard of Oz), Seneca Falls (It's a Wonderful Life town), Woodstock, Cooperstown, Lake George, Lake Placid, Saratoga Springs, those are probably all within 4-5 hour drives.
I've seen several of your videos and I've really enjoyed them. I'm so glad that things are working out for you and I'm sure your community will support you in any adventure you take. when I moved to Rochester in 1981 after college, I had a map of 3 hour drives from there. I would blindly stick a pin Saturdays and explore souther Ontario- Perth, Smith Falls Hershey Canada, Finger Lakes...go antiquing, flea markets, out to eat and back. A lot to explore

The Steuben County Fair in Bath , New York is the oldest continuously running county fair in America starting in 1819 making this the 204th year. The fair starts up again in August 2023.
Totally agree, life IS a never ending process. Never going to “judge” Jacob. You need to keep moving forward, being you. I will continue supporting you for the same reason I began which is, you’ve always been YOU, sincerely you, and never pretended to be otherwise. Also from what I have seen and learned this year, New Jersey has 2 state fairs. The one in the meadowlands is in June, and the one in Augusta is in August.

I have been living a similar way. Lost my place and car during Covid, unrelated to it. Moving back and forth from north Alabama to Dallas Texas. I don’t get to choose when, usually get Christmas and my birthday to visit family. Good luck out there brother.

If you are looking for a good local fair to hit. The first full week of October is the second largest street festival in the US (2nd to Mardi gras), Evansville, IN Westside Nut Club Fall Festival. It's where I grew up and went every year. TONS of food from booster clubs and midway games and rides.

Friday, April 7, is Good Friday, and April 10, is Easter Monday. You might want to double check with the mechanic working on your vehicle and make sure they will be open when you are supposed to pick up your vehicle. That's awesome! My family moved from GA to VA last year and in the multiple trips to and from, we passed the Cat Museum each time and my daughter would cross her fingers that it would finally be open but it never was. She will be so excited to hear that we can finally visit next trip!

I live in the area of the Frogman! I used to travel that road at least once a week where that guy/creature was seen! I think its funny he still gets brought up and theres merch of him, seeing that he hasn't actually been seen in 50 years!
