Oh yeah, I remember now why I didn't choose that option originally. I could easily see people being charged more than they wanted if I made a lot of videos some month. But maybe there is a way around that?
Most seem to focus all effort on a single high-production video each month and constrain the "cost" to just one video per month. I don't know how patreon works, but I assume you do a posting and specify if the posting is a "fee based" posting. So just do one fee based posting a month.
You can decide which videos "count" for Patreon (so you could do per-video, but only count a certain max number of videos per month). This Old Tony recently set up a Patreon page on a per-video basis, but is only counting one video per month.
In the Patreon people can put upper limit on the monthly videos they support. For example one may just support max 2 videos per month. EDIT: Happy to see you back!
And it was $20 - no one else bid on it. Auctions are weird, some stuff goes for crazy cheap while other things that are beat to hell often go for nearly the price of new. I went to one auction where people were buying well-used Kurt 6" vices for $550-ish. Like $50 more is brand new! *shrug*
Great deal! Yeah I know it's crazy. You just got to know when to get out going in. I actually saw a beat Hypertherm plasma cutter go for MORE than a new one by like $200. The guy must have got his model numbers mixed up! Congratulations and good luck with your new business!
If you set up patreon to do a per-video reward I am 90% sure I will support you for at least a couple of bucks per video. I really enjoyed your DIY CNC mill construction series.
AvE sent me...
Me too!
I've seen this a few times. What video of his sent you here?

Chris DePrisco AvE sent me via his CNC video he posted today.
Saw the recommendation at the end of the latest video but this was also the next in my subscriptions, so I was pretty confused.
Great to be here watching you make a part or two on your Tormach, will hit the link to learn.
Have you considered going on patreon but changing it to a "per video" basis? Maybe leaves you with less pressure/guilt about producing videos?
That's true - kinda forgot about that option! lol
