I accidentally got my brother to read a book by playing the audiobook. Then my brother took the audiobook and played it for his friends on a road trip. Then his friend wrote the author and is getting advanced copy of the first chapter of the next book. And I'm super jelly about that.
Ahhh I have to read Miss Pergerin’s home for Peculiar Children. You’ve been talking about it forever and yet I somehow haven’t gotten to it yet (but I just placed a hold on it from my library!!).
Also these methods seem 100% reliable, how could they *possibly* backfire? I can’t really choose a favourite book though, because THERE ARE SO MANY. But I’ve been trying to get my friends to read the Cruel Prince for what feels like ever (aka barely even a month) and I have employed many of the methods shown here, but for some weird reason, they seem to be annoyed about them. Wonder why.

I had to replay the part when Jesse put the book on his shoulder several times because it's so hilarious 😂😂😂 My tip is to have bookish merchandises about your favorite book and wear/bring/display them at all times so everytime someone asks about them you can rave about your favorite book and they will be so curious 😂

Edit: I always carefully check for loopholes in contracts, though I barely make them. The struggle in my case is that when it comes to other people reading my favorite books, I’m the only one of my age reading English......

Oh man... yes the characters are my friends. My ultimate favorite book is Pride and Prejudice. I’m such a fangirl over that book and have been for like half of my life now. It’s a classic so a lot of people have read it, but the more I rave those who haven’t are like “no running the other way now.” However when I’m more low key about the contemporary book I love The Girls at 17 Swan Street. I’ve had several people pick it up.
Always love your acting in these - SO COOL. Favorite book of all: Lord of the Rings. Tip for getting friends and fam to read: when you're re-reading for the millionth time, read out one of the funny scenes or beautiful descriptions and they might catch on to your love.

My favorite book is We are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson. I made my friend read it recently and the way I got her to read it is we made a deal where she read this book and I read her favorite book and if we didn’t start it right after the books we were currently reading, we wouldn’t be allowed to read for a whole month. And yes, I had her written and recorded spoken agreement

I did the same whe I tried to get my friend to read Carry on by Rainbow Rowell, my favourite book of all times, and I sent her messages like hourly so as to persuade her to read it. In the end I bought a copy for her because lending on of my 10 copies of the book wouldn't do. I just can't give away any of my babies. They are too precious.
