  • After rolling past 20000 miles on my 2022 Lowrider S, I give a short review while leaving the motorcycle safety range in Chula Vista Ca. I ride this bike every day and commute 500 miles per week so here is my honest 20000 mile review of the 2022 Harley Davidson Lowrider S 117. Enjoy.

    Excellent video. Always wanted a modern version of my '79 Superglide. The one and only thing I prefer on the SG is the front fender. M8's are excellent. Won't be parting with my LRS 117 for a long while. Love it!

    Love it!!! Can’t wait to pick up mine in about a week. Added the Vance and Hines twin slash slip-ons!! I love the look of the short shots but concerned they might be a little too loud for my 59 year old ears! 🖤

      The bike with the 117 has plenty of power for me! And the v and h slip ons give it just enough sound to be heard in traffic without pissing off neighbors and attraction attention from the 👮🏼‍♀️. Lol. Enjoy Luke new ride my brother and be safe out there!

    How do you know when it’s low on oil? Does it have a guage or?

  • @kevinkinney5445

    Excellent that you've put so many miles. Im considering a Lowrider ST. Have you any oil sumping or overheating issues? Have you considered a breather kit? What do your plugs & pistons look like with that kind of oil consumption?

    • @Motosquatch
      @Motosquatch  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would love an ST. No oil sumping. She runs strong. I’m gonna keep her mostly stock until the warranty is up. I have a 3 yr and i still have 2 left. Have not looked at plugs. I got the pre paid maintenance and I take it to SD Harley every 5000. I’m rolling up on 25000 now and I suspect they will change the plugs on this one.

      @@Motosquatch M8's still have a sumping tendency . If you pick up a lower end slap tick the rod bearings and wrist pins overheated, dry, sumped, and you'll get color distortion and glazing inside the cylinders. So at the first sign of deep knockity clap and strain... Demand a leak down test and when they are building your new motor, for God's sake, install the highest flow oil pump you can get and add a J's fan or love jugs.

    Hey Mr. Motosquatch.Still have the LRS? Have to ask you, did you ever have an external breather on the 117? A lot of guys say it's imperative. Don't want to mess with it anyway. At 20k you would have had issues. Thanks.

    • @Motosquatch
      @Motosquatch  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hello, I did not have an external breather and didnt have any issues for the 35000 miles I put on her. I was going to go with the vented trans cover but alas I totaled the bike on Jan 14 and was in the hospital for 3 weeks with numerous serious injuries. I was in a wheelchair for 12 weeks unable to put any weight on my legs due to a shattered pelvis, among other serious injuries. I am making a video about that and my recovery. 6 months later, I am back on the bike. Picked up a beautiful 99 FXDX and rode Palomar Mountain for the first time this weekend. Ride safe my brother.

      Not too bad I guess. I haven’t been on a bike with a bigger fairing so I really don’t have a comparison. I love the bike tho and have put plenty of Highway miles on her.
