I miss how Sideshow used to do their old out the box videos, I really preferred the assembly montage with music. I like coming to this channel for the detailed assembly and review.
Wolverine is one of my favourite characters , the sculpt is awesome and glad its comic based rather than movie. May have to try and get this.

I like the piece even more after seeing this review. Honestly, it's one of my favourite Wolverine pieces now. Not my number 1 but it's right up there. Love that it's unique both in the pose and the environment he's in. The sculpt is immaculate and the paint looks pretty good too. Thanks for the unboxing Gem

Looks really good and detailed for a small size statue.
At first didn't really care for this one but after ur unboxing I am definitely digging it. Love the sculpt and the details in the face r outstanding.
A little on the expensive side, but really cool. My preferred look for logan.

Amazing sculpture original Wolverine design!!!
Honestly idgaf, I still love it. Logan is my fave character of all time. Ever since I was a 7 yr child, Wolverine was my inspiration. Until I grew up of course, apparently you can't just break shit and smoke cigars inside buildings without getting a fine..lol.

I'm a bit upset with the rumour of the next Wolverine will be played by the new "tough guy" in Stranger Things Season3......i.e. they want "a young Wolverine", which is asinine, Wolverine should always look like he's in his late 40's/50's.
Agreed. Wolverine was born many years before the other X-Men. He ages slowly, but not that slowly. His character doesn't make sense unless he's lived a really long and often brutal life.
@@NerdLifts There's this dynamic where Logan is often stuck with the kids in the mansion that goes away or won't make sense before 10-15 years down the line when "The Young Wolverine" actor has aged.
Also, in Disney's business model, actors don't get paid much. Robert D. Jr's pay for Iron Man was the first in it's kind, having an actor around for a long time is not what they want; by replacing an actor, they are resetting the pay of said actor, an new actor is cheaper than a popular actor.
I'm not sure they want an actor to play Wolverine for 20 years.
If Glenn Danzig got the role as Wolverine in 1994-1998, I say he'd still be a GREAT choice, he could have pulled it off for 20+years, with some extra workout.

Frankly I just love seeing a piece where the base isn't a rock or more danger room. The brown gives it a nice warm look.

Looks like some old school western construction.
I’ve had it for 24 hours and keep switching out the heads. Not sure which I like best. The rage portrait is bad ass, but the crazed portrait looks like it is taken straight from a comic panel. This is essential for any wolverine collector.

It looks more like a comic accurate Logan who has a stocky-muscular build unlike Jackman. This piece looks awesome.
Really like this one! One of the best Logan (not Wolvie) statues I've seen.
The details look great. I do wish the exclusive portrait's smile was close mouthed or something tho, looks a bit too much Joker instead of confident, imo. Love the adamantium skull showing thru, wish that was on both portraits.

Underrated piece. I'm not a fan of mix-media at all, but there are exceptions such as Sideshow's Rogue leather jacket. I think Logan's jeans look nearly perfect. A lot could have gone wrong if it were sculpted. It could have looked awful. The base tells a story. I really like this piece, a lot. I may pick it up.

My dude bought $30 pair of claws just for the unboxing. That's what I call dedication! Like many other collectors I would have preferred a fully sculpted statue instead of using fabric for his pants. I don't like the idea that there's a chance that fabric material might deteriorate someday. Like you said Gem, this is an amazing sculpt by Daniel Bel. Small shelf footprint and somewhat more affordable than other pieces. I don't think you can go wrong with this statue.

I branched out from collecting 1/6 figures exclusive to occasional SS statues. But after watching your crazy XM and P1s statute unboxings, the SS statues now look like hottoys to me.

Hey Gem love this piece! Deffo prefer the collectors portrait but not mad on the cloth jeans. Beautifully sculpted by a very talented artist. Nice size and a welcome change to the enormous statues that are on the market. An easy 9out of 10 from me dude. Respect ✊🏻
Incredible statue!!! and great review!!! In my opinion this is the best wolverine Logan collectibles figure statue I have ever seen! It’s also to scale Logan is not very tall he’s actually really short, Hence the name Wolverine, The detail is Next Level!!!!!!!

Mine arrives tomorrow... looks awesome. Can’t understand why the broken glass and bottle are loose... why not just have them as part of the base?? They’re bound to get lost. Gem what are the jeans like? The look to have some creases in weird places

I think you hit on all the good points about that statue. Not your typical Logan or Wolverine/base, etc. Again like you said not a big piece but the details look great. I think it’s a great piece

Not a fan of this statue whatsoever since it was announced. But this was a great unboxing video as usual. Watched from beginning to end. I will say the arms are badass with the skin where the claws come out.
I know im late, but those scratch marks on the base are sabertooth's calw marks. In reference to X-men Origins: wolverine
I think that his skin on his hands looks irritated by the claws coming out like no matter how great his healing factor works, metal coming out of his skin still probably hurts and irritates the shit out of his knuckles.
Probably should rub some Aloe Vera on that.
