I live in the US, and everytime I see videos of Canadian cities one thing that amazes me the most is the cleanliness of the streets. Another thing is that there are no old run down buildings. All the buildings are new and well maintained.
Sadly most neighborhoods are teaming with people who just don't have any regard for their home or the common streets. Each day I take my dog for a walk I have to carry a bag just for the garbage that is tossed . When it is garbage day it is especially bad because the garbage doesn't always make it into the collection truck and is more often than not just left. If there is a lot in front of one house I collect it and place it in their trash can if not it goes in my can when i get home. The cigarette butts are especially disgusting . At least 20 to 30 butts are picked up on an average half hour walk . The dog feces is all over the place too. People seemed to forget to take care of their place of being ...walk by the garbage like it is not even seen . People comment and more often than not thank me... that is ridiculous.
Just come across this and takes me back to November 2019 when I spent a week's vacation in Vancouver to celebrate my 60th birthday. Thanks for the memories
When I was tooooo young I wish to live in USA or Canada but now I realize that happiness is not far from us unfortunately we cant see the happiness..make fun with your friends and family and grandparents, help each other, give them love , be happy with them and remember that neither Vancouver nor anywhere else never gonna make you lucky.. We are happy when we are with our best people around in our life..kiss mom and dad .

Looks nice. i like a place with all amenities, moderate traffic, less congestion and density and nice weather. walking in such a weather is never a pain. i walk even for 2 hours happily as long as the weather is cloudy.
Fabulous country , traveled from Calgary to Vancouver by car last year then cruised to Alaska!!!! But preferred the Canadian part more . We are traveling to Seattle then driving to Vancouver this year as our son emigrated there last year , so looking forward to seeing him and Vancouver.

They used took have wonderful stone benches where you could lean back a cozy little nook now they have those uncomfortable little metal single seaters with no backrest. Seems to be way less trees too it looks stark
The main downtown street he ‘s walking on is called Grandville. Within walking distance from this street is the beach, the 400 acres Stanley park and some of the most beautiful ( ocean and mountain) view condos/residence to live in.
Just returned from Van after 3 weeks vacation.my daughter studies at ubc.very nice city.she lives at manitoba street.hiking was so cool overthere.visited grandville....downtown....deepcove.....capilano bridge etc
Watching this Feb 2021 makes one wanna cry, looking at these people who still have faces, still could breathe, walk next to one another, eat, socialize... people used to be alive, and they weren't really aware of it.
This is what I will do. I will quickly show the lovely details of the old building designs because they are beautiful. I would also show the buildings across the street from where I am. I will peer into a few shop entrances, and some shop interiors are worth a quick closer look.
I wonder why people are dreaming to live there , most of Canada are basically bulky tall buildings and very ugly streets with no trees at all , so depressing

I hate Brampton, and I’m getting really bored of Toronto. My mom told me that she loved Vancouver more than Toronto (my grandparents would always more to Vancouver and Toronto again and again. She told me it’s a beautiful city so I hope that one day I can move to Vancouver because life here in Brampton is so sad and ugly :(
I liked living there during Winter Olympic 2010 .. It was a blast at that time .. people were happy and fun .. too bad there's a riot during the Stanley Cup event.
Asians destroyed Canadian culture in Vancouver. Life became too expensive and stressful, especially in Van. Glad USA take some measures to depress china's economy.
