- Finishing my Sausage Sandwich was not an end. While I am enjoying my food aff the camera, I met this friendly local who was friends with the owner of the restaurant I was at. So they took me on a tour.

Hi Davud, the 2 drinks are called Sharbat-e-Khakshir and Sharbat-e-Tokme-Sharbati. Khakshir are flixweed seeds (gold) and tokme sharbati are the sweet basil seeds (black), sometimes chia seeds are used instead.

In Iran we say Toman we do not use Riyal when we speak only when you see price tag it might be written in riyal most is written in Tomans.

Also is 2 dollars considered mid-range for a sausage sandwich and sugar drink In Iran ? At the moment I’m not understanding the pricing at all. How much would a proper quality meal cost? (I class sausage meals to be the cheapest version of meals as would be classed in UK for mist sausage meat..)

Have you noticed that, you paid 100 thousand Tomans and got back 111 thousand instead of 21 thousand?!
The lady behind the desk made a big mistake, because the 1,000,000 bank note in green looks like the 100,000 banknote also in green. She did not pay attention to one extra zero in the first one and she looked at it as a 100,000!
(As much as I noticed, your food cost was 79 thousand Tomans. Right?)
From what I see it's all correct - he gave her 100k tomans (1 mil IRR) and got 21k tomans (210k IRR) change. I'm trying to learn the currency (before coming to Iran for a bit in January) but it's a bit confusing with changing the hundred thousands of rials to ten thousands of tomans and then even more to just tomans, like e.g. the 100.000 bill becomes "10 tomans" :)

Kebab making video in the Pakistani dabah was a different league - and the poor chef his hands must me an absolute mess. This Iranian shop was a more conventional fast food shop. Somewhere you’d come to grab your food before exploring but not somewhere that would be classed as an interesting experience. However as I said before this is good for families with children.

Why don't they say the Muslim greeting? All Muslims say it, plus even if Iranians don't say it, they should at least say it back when a someone greet them.

I am sorry but you keep saying " al-salam aleykum!!! " which is only applicable in an Arabic speaking country whereas Iran is Not an arab country and they do Not speak arabic , just say "salam " like all Non-arabic muslim countries.
