    Good Episode... The Romulan Commander "Octavia" is a fine new character!

    Sometimes you must play the long game even when you really want to smack aside the opposing force. Besides the Orion wore her designation as a slave in plain view. She was following her master(s) orders. I am sure she would have suffered for any failure in negotiations since she was just the front for the operation. The colonist's welfare had to come first.
    I'm inclined to think the Romulan commander would have dismissed those concerns if she'd been alone with the Orion at the table. The Romulan colonists would have had to 'suck it up' until or if, relief efforts were launched.
    It is amazing how all of you manage to pack so much story in so little time. Script writers for tv and movies have months, even years to churn out a quality product. Alas, they most often, fall short. Kudos to all involved!

    The banter during dinner was a tad stilted (in a good way), and, by God, it had me in stitches! And watching The Ol' Man agree with the Romulan Centurion was priceless in its perfect delivery. I have a feeling the Old Wolf and the Young Wolf would have enjoyed having that Orion ship for dessert.

      @@Potemkin1711 As I said below, I prefer a conversation between characters that doesn't sound like perfectly rehearsed lines. It makes it seem more like natural conversation. Especially when we're talking aliens to whom English is not a first language. "Successful" doesn't begin to describe it. You guys hit this stuff outta the park, *natch.*

      @@Potemkin1711 Pretty darn good actors and actresses you've got, too. I like it better when it seems less like a character is simply an actor reading lines, and more like a person looking for the right thing to say.

    everything is excellent but there is something funky with the audio, it echoes. also what is the op theme?

    • @Potemkin1711
      @Potemkin1711  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I needed to use a lot of noise reduction on several scenes. It results in an echoey audio. We're working on improving our audio, and think you'll find it is getting better each time.
      The opening music is the "Deimos" theme created by Chris Kroznuski. We really enjoy his work on our productions!

      @Potemkin1711  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When I saw this design, I wanted to tell a story about a ship of its type. The Deimos is basically a police cruiser for the Back Forty-ish.

    I love seeing fans ressurrecting star trek!! but I dont care for the old actors a starship crew should have slim,fit young poeple who go out in their journey into space without encumbering the medical bay with ild geriatric patients.

      V Dai senior officers are seen in Star trek as valuable resources. our senior-most officer, Commander Klawitter, serves as a mentor and advisor to Captain Jeremy Quinn.

    The audio is very bad! come on guys youve been making enough episodes to get it right by now. I had to stop watching as my ears hurt.

    • @Potemkin1711
      @Potemkin1711  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      surplusgavids sorry, we're aware of the audio issues but they could not be helped for this production nor for the forthcoming Between Two Worlds. Moving to a new location, dealing with new casts and BTS crews led to mistakes being made. I accept full responsibility for the shortcomings and hope you'll bear with us as we transition from our previous location to our current one.

      Maybe I can because it's not my channel
      Posts on my channel have a shade over my screen name but not an actual bright blue, sausage around the name.
      Google programmers have been doctoring the comments section again the past few days.
