It's hard to believe that you've managed to improve the presets for this car even more... it seems that there are no limits to perfection... Your settings for the top cars in S2 class are the best so far! Congratulations on a great job!👍

Well done! Congratulations on achieving your goal! Now you can rest on your laurels in retirement... just kidding! I did not think that you would be able to correct your only mistake in the race with the previous record - ...,919 so quickly, but as I wrote then, to drive in 1:54.7... it is quite possible, once again I congratulate you on this record and wish you new records and success in life! 👍😉

Idk if I ever said this to you, but your volcan video is the reason I stuck to kbm; thanks man 🙏
Also if you get a chance to try the tune please lmk what you think, it can do low .6 / .5 for sure (did low .6 multiple times on 1-3 rewinds)

Can you please give me a tip, for some corners that require you to go a little off track or sometimes completely to get a faster turn in how do i do it successfully without spinning out or going too fast/slow? i’ve been following your car in rivals but having some trouble getting the braking right on the grass

Which corners in particular, can you time stamp them?
Generally you should think of the dirt as curbs on a racetrack, you can use them as extra runoff space through a corner but if you go too far over into the dirt you will slide, so it is something you learn to judge for each corner as you do the track (the distance into the dirt you can go before you slide is sometimes different, especially between corners and straights).
For example for the second chicane starting at 1:25, you want to enter as wide as possible to carry speed, so you use as much dirt on left of road to enter the corner. Try to enter at a small angle rather than darting to the left and then the right so that you can downshift/brake in as straight a line (parallel to the road) as possible, then start the corner.
When you go over the first checkpoint flag (1:27), you let off the throttle only when you're in the dirt (it will just make the car unstable and wide on exit from first part of chicane into second).
Then, for the exit from the first checkpoint flag corner into the second checkpoint flag corner (1:29), you have to try to straighten out and hit the flag head on and then begin turning left, if you turn left too early or hold at too extreme a turn in angle you will enter the dirt too much and miss checkpoint/ the whole car will slide/ your rear end will slide out and ruin your speed/run. This is why I use taps and small holds of turn keys from 1:29 through 1:31, but also on the entire track to some extent.
For the exit from the final chicane (1:30-1:31), you have to turn in just right, if you turn in too early you miss cp and potentially slide rear end out in dirt, too late and you go wide and slide the whole car out in the dirt on the left side of the track.
The second chicane is the hardest sequence on the track, because you also exit that chicane into the bridge corner of death. My run here actually leaves a tenth on the table in the second chicane and a tenth on the table in the final braking corner. One reason why is because I lose speed hitting the tree in the second chicane, if you hit it head on with the front of your car you lose less speed than with the front left side of the car (idk why). This allows you to shift earlier for the bridge corner which allows you to turn in more. Shifting right before cornering causes understeer, which can work sometimes but it's better to shift as early as possible without losing out on the power band, so that you can hold higher rpm in 6th into the death bridge corner. I have had through speed there of 183 mph before, in this run it is 181 mph (1:34).

@@epicfiend1999 the corners i’m talking about aren’t in this video, it’s in your s2 rivals with the bt62, especially playa azul circuit the first turn is what im having an issue on i got a perfect turn in on the road but a little off track and i invalidate my lap some way

@@hypekinsthat track I actually hate so much, you have to just continue trying to go as far into dirt as possible and turn in to barely hit the first cp with the right side of your car. On exit you should barely wall tap. I really hate playa azul lol

Great drive! I’ve been recommended your tunes and videos because I want to improve on my tuning as well. But this fucking Forza tuning bruh... apparently, you’re doomed to be slow, if you apply reality logic - or worse - follow the advice given by the game itself.
I will definitely try your thinking outside of the box tuning! Hopefully, this way I’ll be able to make some of my dream cars actually turn into a corner. For some fucking reason Forza has decided that only some cars have a useable steering whee, for the rest it’s just decoration.
I’m especially interested in increasing high speed corner stability without aero. Sometimes the car starts to push over the front wheels mid high speed corner. I can somewhat eliminate it by adjusting tyre pressure but most of the time I suspect the ARB or a not soft enough suspension. How do you find the alignment for your cars? Have you experimented with toe yet?

    • @epicfiend1999
      @epicfiend1999  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

you have to mess around a lot with different stuff to get a good read on turn in and aero, every car has limits of grip and tuning is about trying to maintain grip on the track while maximizing potential time through making sure the turning is smooth corresponding to your inputs, making sure the turn initially and transitionally is maximized while remaining relatively controllable, and minimizing the amount of aero required to do so.
usually you don't want to go any further than +-0.2 degrees of toe on either front or rear wheels on most cars as far as I know. As for alignment, you want to use just enough that the car doesn't slide through corners. On tracks like volcan sprint you need a lot more because the turns have much more elevation variation than for say, the turns on copper canyon. I would say that alignment can behave as it does in real life in forza, too little and you will slide on certain corners on certain tracks, too much and you lose the amount of peak grip that you have.
Tire pressure also effects turn in and grip, in a different way from suspension and antirolls. suspension generally the softer the more turn in, so you have to find a balance there as well. Also, ride height can affect turn in, the higher the front in relation to the rear the more likely you are to have a more loose turn in if all other components of the tune remain constant.
