I am trying to install on my 1965 mustang. The largest chrome extender does not fit all the way down to cover the steering column. What do I do? Larger extender for sale?

Hello,looking for some help with installing one of your wheels on my 1964 Studebaker Champ Pickup.The stock wheel is too close to my gut ( or my gut is too big) ! What adapter kit will work?Would using a flatter wheel help? The stock wheel is about 16".Any advice would help greatly
