I recommend go to settings and search camera access then turn it off. (Note this will turn off for every app so when you use for yourself the camera : allow the prompt and turn off back in the same way) hope this helpful

It could be harmful if any unwanted app is accessing your camera constantly. There are three reasons why a green dot appears
When applications using your- mic, camera or location simply pull down your notification panel and check which app is causing this and then disable it
