- First Wash in 15 Years | Original Owner 1974 Corvette Stingray Convertible | The Detailing Business. This vehicle belongs a regular customer who is one of my favorites. I have detailed his daily drivers for over 5 years. Every time I return for a car detailing, I notice this Completely Original Corvette Stingray sitting in the garage collecting dust in barn find condition. To my surprise, this time I returned to bring that dusty and dirty 1974 Corvette Stingray Convertible back to perfection. This customer is the original owner. Bought it brand new in late 1973, and put it away over 15 years ago. Watch the satisfying transformation as I bring this beautiful Corvette back to life.

Thank you. It was great. I’ve been doing other vehicles for this customer for years. Every time I would see this corvette covered in dust and boxes. It was a relief to finally have the opportunity to detail it back to its former glory
Out of curiosity, what’s that an AIO polish and what kind of pad did you use? Turned out great! 👍
Thank you. The AIO is Meguiars D301 finishing wax and the pad is Meguiars DFP5 foam polishing disc

I had the exact same car except mine had the silver racing interior. Same burgundy exterior. I had the L-82 Engine.
Nice work bud but there are few things that are confusing me. I haven’t seen any type of decontamination before polishing the paint…and why do you prefer to wash and dry the car with general microfibres instead of wash mitts and drying towels?
The decontamination was done with a blue nano skin clay mitt. Take a look at this video. It demonstrates a rinseless wash but same steps apply to a traditional wash th-cam.com/video/-Tlb_5V_wU0/w-d-xo.html
