Your N scale remodeling project here reminds me of the 4 x 8 HO layout that I have split in two lengthwise and am remodeling while filming as a video series to be posted in the near future. I have learned a lot watching you repair locomotives and enjoy hearing your answers to comments as well as the random interesting things about trains that pop up during your videos. I got my first train set around the holidays when I was around 4 and had a LifeLike Santa Fe set with red stripe coaches. 11 years later, I got my first Lionel set for Christmas and about a couple months later, ran like new after the engine got fixed, early on. Since those days, been into O Gauge and still have some of my original trains from before. Watching your videos amazes me how older trains can be restored to operational and your layout is magnificent
1968. A wren n scale 4mt tank engine and 2 mk1 maroon coaches. And a Graham parish GE tank engine and 2 4 wheel coaches. . Not so much a set as an already built small layout. . Still have them

For price, I generally stick to Kato/Tomix Tomix offers 'introductory sets' that can go for $70-150aud, or there abouts Usually with a loco and freight with all the track and a controller
I don't wanna be one of the spelling or grammar police types but SMT I'm a huge fan of ELO and it is Light without the S it's the Electric Light Orchestra I think Jeff Lynn thought of the fusion of Elecrtronic instruments and a Light (small) Orchestra or maybe he was into a Light Show because they have a pretty good Light show in concert!! I love your channel for its repairs and the fact that you go against most Ho modelers they tend to want to use code 83 track and smaller like peco code 55 and its very hard to keep viable in weather changes I was constantly fixing track work. My first ever layout was a code 100 atlas track layout double looped with both loops accessible to each other and an outer passing Siding that rose up into the mountain and came down the other side and rejoined the outer loop on the front side of the layout I might have to build that one again I do have the Layout in the box woodland scenics started out their Subterranean system with the n scale one ridge valley I think it was called I am still building it I got it for my son and I to build together but he lost interest in that pretty quickly!! I'm disabled now I got a nerve injury in my right arm so I'm one-handed now !! I switched to o scale because it's easier to handle now and I'm going to be building an L shaped layout in an 11x9' room that will keep me busy and watching you work on these layouts inspires me keep up the great videos and livestreams I enjoy watching the younger hobbyist keep our hobby going !!!

I've never worked with Unitrack so I can't say myself. From what others have told me Unitrack is the best one if your willing to pay the extra cost. As for True track, it's worked quite well for my purposes.

1967 An HO Tyco Mantua F-unit Canadian National passenger train with three cars lighted in the black and white paint.
My first train set was a tyco postage stamp 040. Back in 1967

North Cascade Railfan - Bachmann did offer a 0-6-0 steamer with tender lettered for Chattanooga. I think it has a smoke unit.

i'd been through 2 of those Bachman steamers and never again! Total junk and seems impossible to fix. I tried and failed miserably! lol

Do you find Atlas code 65 true track reliable as kato unitrack?
