Has anyone ever read The Other Within by Daniel Deardorff? The book describes the predicament of Eric's life precisely. The author compares his experinces with being a shaman or an actor wearing a mask. And then he goes on about mystical healing properties of masks. Wonder is he actually knew Eric and based the book on him. D D's experiences w being othered came from being paralized since childhood due to polio. He died jus a month ago.
