I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Thank you to the team at SMWX. Dr Hlophe is extremely intelligent individual and it’s fascinating to hear him speak and get a picture of how his mind works. I would love to get my hands on his book. It easy to see why Pres. Zuma has brought the man into his camp. The MK party is slowly becoming the political think tank of SA and it’s a refreshing change from the toil and noise of the EFF.

This is the second interview I watched of Dr Hlophe, first being on SABC. I really enjoy listening to him, articulate, level headed and sober. I do not fully understand what happened that resulted in his impeachment but understand that politics is a dirty game and many have fallen by its sword. How can one be impeached two months away from their retirement - it is a simple act of cruelty. I can understand his pain.
One thing for sure is that South Africa not only the legal fraternity still needs Dr Hlophe and others like him to contribute immensely to the development of this country - passion for justice that is not driven by political gains. This legal mind cannot be thrown into oblivion.
If there is any man who can help the MKP to be a constructive force to be reckoned with, it is Dr Hlophe. I am not a supporter or sympathizer for MKP but if we were allowed to to directly vote for leaders, I would vote for Dr Hlophe not his party.
I do not agree with his take on the events leading to Advocate Mkhwebane's impeachment though. I agree that Dr Hlophe's impeachment was political not by commission but by association. I still want to know his honest views on tribalism though as somebody I consider to qualify for leading South Africa. I don't recall him being asked about it.
I hope one day we will view and judge speeches, narratives and opinions objectively.

@@sthe_zar6341 He is not a judge anymore because education and being entertaining did not improve his ethical behaviour. The more educated one is the easier it is to steal from the uneducated black poor.
Have you ever asked yourself why the ANC does such a poor job of educating the poor. Zuma literally destroyed the educations system. BELA is just another effort to keep the black poor unedcuated.

I have dissonance in his submission... Studied and groomed in what he didn't believe in? Worse still now this? There's more to say but based on my observations I don't buy into his current stance... That's mind boggling I'm speculating the outcome barring the impeachment... It's twinkle twinkle little star how I wonder....?
