Love to hear how your Dad got into racing and what impact that had on you.
Hi editor, a small request-- since there is a lag time between video and airing date, is it possible to post on screen the actual video date? Would help to keep track of the weather you're experiencing , etc. Noticed it on a Welker Farms video and thought it was a great idea. Hope you do too! Hard to keep track of your weather from Atlantic coast. Thanks! Love the channel-- and his sense of humour ! Yep, Canadian, so it's 'our', not 'or'😉😏
Zac, around here in Southern Illinois, the farmers buy the antifreeze by the 55 gallon drum. Add a hand pump and rig up a cheap garden hose and it easier and I think a little cheaper. Hope this helps.
Hahahaha your "water shovel" is a vac trailer, baby brother to a vac truck (usually mounted on a T800 Kenworth or similar), and they are lifesavers. Pair those with flowable fill (like concrete without cement in it but still comes in a concrete truck) and you have the dream team for tying into existing utilities without damaging anything.
That system the gas company used to trench with is called a HydroVac. Water injection (hydro) to loossen the dirt, and a vacuum tank to remove it. (vac)
Taking drive shaft off. I have learned in the past year that if you pull on the belt and rotate the shaft backwards it releases the pressure on the shaft and it slides right off.
Excavating with water is called HydroExcavation. The process is use to avoid electric, gas and fiber optic lines. It causes minimal disruption in the soil. No backhoe needed.
Drove past the shooting park today, getting close. And a good looking soybean crop for beach sand. Goes to show all that damn rain was good for something .
I had a dozen 1 gallon bottles of RV antifreeze sitting in the unheated shop this winter and they were all froze solid when it got cold out. And it was well above the specs at the bottles had printed on them. That being said the plastic bottles did not break
For whatever it's worth Zach we call those hydrovacs. They're useful things, pricy but a whole lot cheaper than cutting a line belonging to another company.
I was just watching you on a podcast and the question got raised regarding your content. About making things interesting. As a farming enthusiast all of your content is interesting changing the oil in a tractor cleaning out beans and corn under the dryer literally all of your contact I find enjoyable, I know that doesn’t mean you want to film everything but from my perspective you literally could!
😆😆 We do that all the time in my line of work. We call it hydro excavating. Very useful when you don't know what's below you or if you need to get around sensitive areas, as illustrated.
Never use rv antifreeze to winterize your sprayer, planter, etc. It dries out the seals in the pumps and is very inconsistent as far as protection. Just save your used antifreeze out of your equipment for this purpose
In the spring when the ground is sift and with all the stuff you drive around your yard maybe the gas ljne should be a little deeper in the ground I like the new dryer it's dam big it should run a lot of grain
Where that stand pipe comes up out of the conduit you're gonna wanna put a cover on that to prevent water, ice and dirt from building up in that tube. Trust me on this one and cap it before it snows.
LP is higher pressure than natural gas so you can get away with smaller copper pipe which also simplifies connections. Basically it’s cheaper and easier
,, Also in this case the line going from the tank to the dryer is under full tank pressure, it has not been reduced by a regulator at the point of connection,, The dryer Burns liquid propane gas,, unlike most all other gas "appliances" that burn propane vapor.
Hi I saw a tic Tom and wanted to see if you knew about the grain weevil. It would be used in the grain bins in stead of farmers having to go in them themselves.
Hey, Zach! Quick question, how come the LP line was not CSST. Copper gas lines in central mo is obsolete. Just wondering if you knew. Copper works just fine but more prone to leaks and shatter down the road. Didn’t know if they told you why! Sincerely a curious farmer/hvac business owner!
Holy smokes! Copper 1 1/4" gas line? I didn't know you won the lottery. I put gas services in everyday and we use plastic for just about everything, steel for pressures over 100psi.
great video as usual Zak... 1 question (if you see this) Is there a reason your using copper pipe from the LPG tanks to the dryer? I would have thought that MDPE pipe would be much better and will not corrode, also is designed to take heavy loads so no issue with crushing it by driving heavy plant machinery over the spot where it is buried.... Im just curious if there is a specific reason you used copper. Thanks for your videos mate.... you and Pembertons are the best farming channels IMO...especially the guy with the ginger Moostache
As always great vids and content! I don’t expect a reply as I imagine you get 1000s of questions now your crazy famous, long time follower and fellow farmer from Canada, I gotta ask is the Crary air system a real game changer for beans? Like less loss? better cut?? I see you and Larson’s love them so just curious..
I can't be the only one who will cuss out hose clamps and throws fit to my self trying to do things if it's not going smooth. But we always get'r done and then I'm happy
Thanks Huel. Use code: farmer for 15% off your first order + a free starter kit: huel.com/farmer
maybe the phone call was from the Govenor again looking to become a star on your channel Zach

Didge is anxious. That's why she is panting
Get a meat based sponser then that will sell!

I really like the ways those 2 pups of yours smile when they ride around it always makes me smile with them Thanks
If those gas guys start running, try to keep up!!!😂😂😂
Damn right! 🤣🤣🤣
Hope you have a safe and plentiful harvest!!
Best of luck with the oncoming harvest from Ireland. Awful year for growth over here, but hoping you have bins bursting at the seams!
Out here in California we call that a vacuum excavator or a suck “truck”. Never seen a trailer version before.
I love watching your dogs riding in the back of the Polaris!!! The expression on there face is priceless!!
I been driving across Minnesota the past 2 months and I gotta say the weather is crazy dryer than anywhere I been! I hope the harvest will be good!

Hi i love your videos im from Slovakia please dont stop posting videos because we love you and we know what is hard work ,🇺🇸🇸🇰
Drove past the shooting park today, getting close. And a good looking soybean crop for beach sand. Goes to show all that damn rain was good for something .
Im very behind but i will catch up on the videos. Love the content and your sense of humor
I love how detailed your farming techniques are! It’s really helpful for beginners like me.
"you versus the guy she tells you not to worry about"......haha that was great!
In Wyoming we call that a Hydrovac in oil field work.
I think pretty much everywhere, except in Minnesota, they're referred to as a hydrovac 😅
I had a dozen 1 gallon bottles of RV antifreeze sitting in the unheated shop this winter and they were all froze solid when it got cold out. And it was well above the specs at the bottles had printed on them. That being said the plastic bottles did not break
In the uk we use air pressure to break up the ground then use a vacuum excavator to vacuum up the ground
Smart ideas start in England, then the spanks get hold of them and claim them as their own.
You might try pulling on the feeder house belt to loosen up that PTO connection. Usually allows it to slide right off.
We called it a vacuum excavator. High pressure water makes mud. Mud is sucked up into tank. Leaves nice clean hole with no damage to wires and pipes!
aka as a suck vac
wow the Millenium using "passengers" so he can use the carpool lane to commute to work...
"I love how you blend academic content with entertainment, it's very easy to absorb!"
For whatever it's worth Zach we call those hydrovacs. They're useful things, pricy but a whole lot cheaper than cutting a line belonging to another company.
Little bit of advice. When headed pto’s start getting difficult to remove, just reverse the head a smidge before unhooking. Works every time
Phone when you were installing the boot was probably the Gub'ner calling hoping for a boost in the polls. 🤪
Have a great harvest
Thanks for the show guys 🍻
Hope the harvest is better than what you expect
You're doing a real nice job explaining things rather than purely commenting. I for one appreciate that.

When will we see the test run of the dryer? Cant wait to see that monster run
Very soon!
Dig is a simple girl, she sees the side by side and she wants to go for a ride by ride.
Out here in Southeast Manitoba we call that machine a Soft Dig unit. They also have them built into trucks here as well.
Or a Hydrovac. I work for the gas company here, we use them all the time.
I was back in MN yesterday around Currie/Westbrook. Some have started beans but a lot of fields look like a week or so away.
😆😆 We do that all the time in my line of work. We call it hydro excavating. Very useful when you don't know what's below you or if you need to get around sensitive areas, as illustrated.
Awesome video. Thank you very much
Zach, you have such a quick and funny wit.
Makes visual measure, looks good. Extends while in the field, pops off. Buy longer one to make slightly longer visual measurement.
also think about some sort of semi shed for the tanks, so they don t freeze when it's really cold....
Never heard of pumping LP. Learn something new every day.
Zach your "same s**t every day" short was hilarious 😂
Gutted you took it down.
Becky was running a test. You can find the original on my tiktok.
That's what she said!! Before video even started, after only reading the video title
😂😂😂
And to consider that the video was about a bigger pipe, well, I think that’s spot-on!
Bruh... 😂
You vs the guys she tells you not to worry about. 😂😂. I spit my drink out.
Probably already commented but the water shovel is a hydrovac. Love running those things
Hey zack. Have you ever thought about adding a short air tube mounted so it can blow on your feeder house and help keep it clean?
Hydro excavating. Use it all the time.
put something over where the pipes come out so water doesn't go down and freeze in winter when u get rain in wonter
Never use rv antifreeze to winterize your sprayer, planter, etc. It dries out the seals in the pumps and is very inconsistent as far as protection. Just save your used antifreeze out of your equipment for this purpose
When they are using water and vacuum for digging it is called hydrovaccing
Thanks
In the spring when the ground is sift and with all the stuff you drive around your yard maybe the gas ljne should be a little deeper in the ground I like the new dryer it's dam big it should run a lot of grain
copper pipe without insulation or other protection straight in ground sounds future problems.
Good Morning,Ed from Vermont
Now that, is the sign of a good man. Getting pizza for the guys working on the project. Well done.
Will there be a safety meeting this year?
Man the ride to work is crazy
Loved the video guys much love and respect thanks for sharing
Who’s been feeding Onyx some MiracleGro? Sheesh
@nickjames73, Onyx is getting big isnt he?
Mom must be a good cook !!
Huel
Hope y’all are having a good day!
Still going to say I would love to come help out with harvest!
That dryer looks huge !
Where that stand pipe comes up out of the conduit you're gonna wanna put a cover on that to prevent water, ice and dirt from building up in that tube. Trust me on this one and cap it before it snows.
We call them Hydrovac systems. Simple, safe and effective way to find utilities without risking any damage.
Have you decided to look at the 8500 corn water unit Zach
Greetings from central Montana
That's and aussie for you! Talking all the time!!!
I'm surprised that they didn't use yellow plastic pipe for the gas line
LP is higher pressure than natural gas so you can get away with smaller copper pipe which also simplifies connections. Basically it’s cheaper and easier
,, Also in this case the line going from the tank to the dryer is under full tank pressure, it has not been reduced by a regulator at the point of connection,, The dryer Burns liquid propane gas,, unlike most all other gas "appliances" that burn propane vapor.
Since it should not cost much why not lay a 1-1/2” line or 2” line for future expansion?
My man always thinking of the viewer, saving content for next year!
Hi I saw a tic Tom and wanted to see if you knew about the grain weevil. It would be used in the grain bins in stead of farmers having to go in them themselves.
Vactor... Vactor trucks are equipped with large vacuum hoses and water jet hoses.
Great video. Looking forward to harvest.
Can RV antifreeze be bought in 55 gallon drums? As much as you use it would be convenient
Yes, it can they really don't use much.
We buy methanol from a local company in drums. It’s half the cost of rv antifreeze.
@@redbovine That is probably way too corrosive to bother with for what they do with it.
@redbovine we have hundreds of gallons of methanol for the race cars but it's extremely corrosive
Hello from Siesta Key Florida
THANK YOU FOR YOUR POWERFUL CREATING AND MAGICAL PERFECTION 🙏🙏....
Project farm did a review for tire pressure gauges. Figure its perfect for you with how you struggled to find a good brand a few years ago
Good video good to see y'all
Hey Becky, what is the name of the security system that you are using on the farm?
Thanks

Those water shovel hydroexcavators are pretty fascinating.
Hey @MellenialFarmer - Zack, I probably missed it...did you ever land on a reliable, long term accuracy air gauge?
Water shovel is called a hydrovac.
I thought they would put that copper gas line in PVC to protect it against the elements.
Welker Farms just spent time with the new Case AF 11 combine. You need to get Deere to let you play with their largest combine 😂
All good!
Holy smokes! Copper 1 1/4" gas line? I didn't know you won the lottery. I put gas services in everyday and we use plastic for just about everything, steel for pressures over 100psi.
I didn't even know flares were possible on inch lol
Looking for harvest time.❤️🇨🇦
Not always! A bigger bill is not better! Good afternoon!!
I wonder if you could have run liquid from the tank and regulate at the dryers.
That's how it is
Ordered my cap yesterday
That Milwaukee pole saw is slicker than snot, ain't it? Buddy's got one that we've done faaar more with than it's intended for and it doesn't quit.

In Australia we call that machine for exposing underground cables a “pot holer”.
