Excellent info as I am having progressive grief with the progressive Load Master. Right now I have broken off the little pin and will try to fabricate something sturdy and add your improvements. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for sharing your solutions! Your suggestions have me back at near 100% primer seating on my LM. I was getting 20% a failure rate before implementing your ideas.
After using these mods for a year now they eventually stopped working as well as they once did. I discovered that just buying a new primer mechanism for $12 from Lee got me back to where I was near 100% again. I think the plastic just wears out. I also noticed they made some slight modifications to the stock plastic parts so maybe this is why. As I mentioned before, the tape mod stops the tray from rattling enough to encourage the primers to drop in the trough. Going back to stock fixes this problem and I don't have to constantly tap my tray anymore.
Some implementation insights: 3 pieces of IDPA stickers make a better tape than blue or masking tape for me. Also, a cut up old credit card makes a good sturdy platform to glue your 1/16 inch spacer in the trough. For my spacer I just cut up a plastic cable mount from my junk drawers.
One downside to the tape is that it doesn't allow the primer trough to shake as much. This is causing the primers to stay in the hopper often. Any thoughts on improving that part of the priming process?
I also found my primer seating spring was getting worn out. It didn't always have enough omph to push the primer rod back down. Home Depot has an assortment of springs for sale. In it, about 4 or 5 springs are a perfect replacement for the Lee standard spring and seem a bit beefier. Time will tell but along with your tape idea that gives a more stable alignment for the primer rod, some light oil and my Home Depot spring I'm getting 100% primer rod retraction.
GREAT mod, thanks for the tip. I did mine by just putting a dab of epoxy putty in the raceway that kept it from going back so far. Seems to be error free so far.
Great job on your mods, thanks, Bernie Daly
very good video showing mods. Going to do that to mine too.

keep it clean and lubed (but not over lubed) and smooth out the slot the slider rides in and you won't have problems.
Thanks - I found some dry Teflon lubricant at Lowes I've been trying and it helps
Excellant mods, worked for me, thanks.
Thanks for the info, greetings from Belgium..
where can I buy this white piece? Can I buy 2 from you? Thanks Greg
