' 03/05 Found this journal on a shelf while I was searching around one of the abandoned stores figured I'd grab it, it'll keep me at least a little sane. Only been a few weeks since hell broke loose. So many people went insane trying to buy food and protect them selves from the new mutated disease. It started out as a new virus that had already gone into a pandemic, killed nearly 2 billion in the process. Then it became even worse and all we got from scientists before communication cut off was that the virus had mutated with rabies. It caused nearly all of humanity to go mental. It's no longer an airborne disease but if had been any longer I probably would become one of... Them. Honestly I don't understand how I've survived so fucking long I only have 'bout a month left till I'm 15. I only escaped my house last week, I was to scared to leave but I need food and being around the mangled bodies I had to kill was too much. Even now as I'm sitting writing this I can hear traces of panic. Gunshots, barking, noises that really shouldn't even be possible to hear but Because of the quiet I can. Anyway I'll write in this thing more once I've found a shelter but who knows how long that'll be. Might just need to keep walking tonight and hope I don't run into anyone or.... Anything.'

When I lived with my parents, years ago, I used to day dream about being completely alone in a post apocalyptic world. Not quite as shattered as the one seen in this video, but void of any other people and abandoned cars and buildings all over the place. It was weirdly relaxing.

you are not lying, Snow. Snow...did you hear about the problems they have, out west with Lake Powell and the diminishing water? they say they can have enough water and electricity only up to January of Next year. That area CANNOT lose another 32 feet of water. In some of the reservoirs, they can't lose another15 feet. In last three years Lake Powell and other big lakes out west have sunk down below half of their possible volume of carried water within the lake area.

*A VHS tape is turned on. It shows Hamburg in West Germany in 1985. There's an American family in the park. They're enjoying their vacation* The family is enjoying the time, unaware of what was about to happen. "Mom! Look at me!". A child jumped down the slide. "How brave you are, sweetheart!" The mother would say. Then, she'd look at her clock. "Oh my! It's too late! C'mon, sweeties! We gotta go home!" *The VHS tape is turned off. It remains like that for several hours until someone turns it on. It shows a warzone in the same park which is in the same street. Soldiers keep appearing, shooting each other* "Dad! What is going on?!" A child would ask. "It doesn't matter! We gotta get out of the city!" The father would respond. "But why?!" The child would ask again. "This is..." The father would stay silent. As far as humanity knows, this is World War 3. They're unaware that this is humanity's last straw. "There's a train station nearby, honey! We gotta go there as quickly as-" The father is shot. "HONEY! NO!" The mother would scream. *The VHS tape is dropped to the ground. However, it isn't broken. The VHS' battery is 30% but it suddenly turns off. Minutes later, is turned on. Soviet soldiers appear, inspecting the tape* "Chto eto?" (What is this?) "Vyglyadit kak kakaya-to lenta." (Looks like a tape of some kind). "Kamera?" (A camera?) "Niet! Lenta VHS, vy idiot!" (No! A VHS tape, you moron!) "Eto dlya nas, niet?" (This is for us, no?) "Kto-to strelyal v vash mozg?" (Did someone shoot your brain?) "Chto?" (What?) "Nichego... vyklyuchi." (Nevermind... turn it off). "Da." (Yes). *It's turned off. Years have passed since then. Someone picks it up* "Huh? What is this? Meh, who cares? We've got work to do. This is mine." A wrecked city (like the one in the background of this video) is shown. World War 3 ended in a nuclear exchange and it ended humanity as we know it. However, it didn't mean that the humans were entirely extinct, no. It meant that that was the drop that filled the glass. Now everything is just... a barren and rusty wasteland. With confidence and bravery, humanity can rebuild society again...

No matter where I go, it all looks the same. Destroyed buildings, fallen power lines, abandoned cars. When the wind blows, more debris falls out of the skyscrapers. Every now and again when I go scouting for food, a little piece of humanity finds its way at my feet. Today was a photograph; a happy couple on the day of their wedding. There’s a note on the back that says “To old age and forever more!” 8/14/19. Seems so long ago things were normal. Yesterday was a small stuffed dog. A little burnt, but still adorable. A quick wash and he was good as new. Baring the burn fur of course. It keeps me company now, as side from the wild dogs, coyotes and birds. I don’t know where to go from here. I’ve heard from other survivors that the rest of the country is no better. I’ve thought about joining a group leaving the city. But... I prefer being solo. Less crap to deal with and not having to watch over my back for others. You worry less when your shelter is an abandoned car in an abandoned repair shop. Nobody bothers you, except survivor groups. Looking for other survivors. They always start by knocking on the doors. Looking for movement. Then they walk in and shout; “Hello?!! Is anyone here?! If there are survivors here, we’re not going to harm you! We just want to talk!” Then I pop up, usually with a weapon aimed at them. Sometimes a shotgun, sometimes a compound bow. “Hey! Woah! Okay! Easy there buddy, we’re not here to hurt. Like I said, we’re just looking for survivors. So put the weapon down. We’re already unarmed!” I give them a couple of seconds then lower my weapon. “Okay, now we can talk.” I listen, mostly them talking about how they’re trying to get a group together and leave the city. “You sure you don’t want to join us?” I shake my head. “Well if you change your mind, we’re over in the old firehouse one block over. Here I’m gonna leave you a gift. Spare can of Pringles.” They leave and I think about their offer. The group leader didn’t seem to be hiding anything. Hmm... I’ll think about it overnight. Maybe now is a good time to leave. Think I’ll visit them in the morning. For now it’s night. To keep myself safe from roaming bandits in the night, I place wood boards on the inside of the door of the old convenience store. I’ve made it look like there’s nobody here at night and nothing to steal. The shelves in the store are tipped over, some random things on the floor, the counter and clerk area have stuff everywhere. There’s boards on the windows, dust over the windows so you can barely see inside except for a little bit of motion. It’s kept me safe for this long... but I think it’s time to go. So I climb into the old dust covered truck and hide into the blankets that I’ve found and try to get some shut eye. The lone green Pringle’s can on the dashboard being the last thing I see before sleep takes me. Morning comes, I’ve made my decision. I’ll make a visit to the old fire station and go from there. I’ll bring them a bag of chips as a peace offering. If they’ve already left by the time I get there. Then I’m packing up and leaving too. Here goes nothing.

I can just imagine this right now. Since it’s a really hot day, I open my window before going to bed. Only to wake up 3 hours later to hear the streets filled with gunshots, people running away as they scream. Families shouting at their kids to get inside the car. Suddenly an alarm went off on my phone. It’s the emergency alert system telling us to stay inside. In panic, I start to pack my backpack and hopefully finding batteries for the walkie talkies that we have. I went out of my room to see my family packing emergency supplies, closing the windows, curtains and locking doors. The news is playing live on TV.

[TAPE START] I’m just gonna assume this thing is working.. probably not. Date, 2132, 17 of May. General Henry Gravens here. God where do I even start.. This wasteland is horrid to look at. To be honest, at this point, scavenging for supplies is trying to find a needle in a Haystack, our boys haven’t been doing too well and Max says the next drop will be here in about 3 weeks and chances are it’ll be 12 miles away at the worst, and 3 at the best, to be honest, this virus is out of control, I saw one of those dogs mangled into a pile bones and about 2 inches of skin left on the side walk.. or what was left of it. Started off this whole trip with 23 men, now there’s only 6. Me, Scott, James, Max, Michael and Roy. Lost 9 during a fire fight with some insane-psychos. Another 8 to a “Type-3” according to the public radio station, mutated freaks with 3 eyes, and 7 fangs, it literally ate an entire rocket, exploded with it inside it and was still bashing David to a pulp whilst tearing his arms off. The Military isn’t any better fighting these things, saw a huge one completely annihilate a helicopter of the sky with a abandoned train-cart, things left arm was the size of a tank and the rest of about the size of a sedan. The degenerates commonly known as a Ravengers, sick mentally ill people, mourning for this type of scenario to arrive, they have the mindset, but not the physical strength to back it up. Saw a group of 4 get pounded by a pack of 3 dolvines, vicious dog-like demons which could pretty much rip off the arm of one these idiots. We didn’t wind up too far from the last Military Base we scavenged, only about 3 miles away. We’re trying to make our way to Molehole, huge town with pretty much the remaining sane people alive, we’re still a long way away from the village, Roy assumes we’re still about another 6 miles away. So far, I’ve heard some gunshots a few blocks away. Ravengers probably on a supply run to eat a pile of scrap. This campfire will probably keep us warm for the night, or, what we call night. The sun has been up for 54 hours, but it’s still freezing cold. Michael said he’ll keep watch, because chances are we’ll probably get ambushed while we slept. But, anyways. We- what? We have to leave? Now? Oh.. oh my god, come oN! GET IN THE TRUCK GET IN THE TRUCK NOW! [Loud clicking sounds and the trucks engines are heard roaring to life, indescribable yelling and screams follows by several gunshots before the tape abruptly cuts off] [TAPE END] [EMERGENCY TAPE ACTIVATED, USER IS POTENTIALLY DECEASED] [A man is heard heavily breathing, not in pain, but panic, potential hyperventilation. His breathing is drowned out by the loud clicking of whatever creatures are roaming] The.. the truck got over turned and he- [The man immediately goes silent as the scrap breaking under something foot is heard just inches in front of the rubble he’s behind] oh.. my.. god... no.. I hunkered down in the abandoned cafe, the chipped enamel of a diner mug warming my frostbitten fingers. My journal, its pages worn thin, lay open on the table, a testament to the relentless march of time, and the ever-present threat of the Infected. It had been three years since the day the world ended. Three years since the Lazarus strain, a bioweapon designed for crowd control, backfired spectacularly, birthing a horde of mindless, flesh-hungry monsters from the living. Three years since I took my first hesitant steps into this new, grim reality. My name is Evelyn Park, and this is my story. The cafe's dusty window offered a sliver of the outside world. Well I might as well contribute as a different person. Hey. I was told from my advisor to keep this journal, as he said: “it’ll help keep your mind off future ops.” Here goes nothing… We arrived at the airport, where a mass of people had gathered, seemingly to “protest” over the radio stations being cut. Soon enough, our COs had given us the order to open fire onto the crowd. That didn’t sit well with me, somethings off. Day 3: What the fuck. I was right all along, something was wrong. Some virus is turning people insane, making them rabid and unpredictable, I fled from my unit in hopes of finding refuge in the city, oh boy I couldn’t have been more wrong. Mutilated corpses line the streets, UN ARVs were around almost every corner, and food, water, and ammo was scarce, I don’t know if I’ll keep writing in this for long, I’ll stick around for a while. I’ve noticed how I haven’t mentioned my name in the last entries, I’m Captain Anne Smirnoff of the 3rd Infantry Unit, sent to quell riots, but stayed because of the virus, I’ve learned who to trust, and who to kill. I’ve noticed scavengers and survivors scattered here and there, I might start a group, I’ll see how it goes.
A Page From A Unknown Journal Private Willard, US Army Day 35: Us Soldiers aren’t getting a good time. The Platoon I was in was deployed 5 weeks before. However due to this virus. It got stronger and most of ours boys were infected and killed. Some the people I was with were infected. What’s even worse is that the Government sent Specialized Hazmat Units to eliminate the infected, civilians in the infected zone, and us Soldiers. One time we we’re ambushed by them and we lost of 3 men. Day 36 (Scribbled Writing): GOD DAMMIT, THEY FOUND US. THEM HAZMATS CAUGHT US OFF GUARD WHEN WE ARE SLEEPING. THEY’RE ROUNDING US UP AND EXECUTING US. HOWEVER SOME US WERE LUCKY AND ESCAPED TO THE FOREST. DAY 37: I’ve been hiding in this forest for days. I have nothing but a Working M4 and some Mags. Things won’t get worse now. The Hazmats are searching the forest for remaining Soldiers s like me. I think this might be the end for it. If anyone find this don’t trust the *Ripped Part*
It’s been a few months since it all started, staying in you apartment only to leave for supplies and of course to take a dump. You haven’t seen another human in awhile , except for the dead ones. You start hearing footsteps in the building for a few days and decide to barricade yourself in your room till they stop. After not hearing them for awhile, you get up to look around, until you hear people’s voices enter your apartment.
07/19/2048 Its been maybe a week since I left the shelter. I set up a camp maybe 500 yards away. I cut some trees down to keep my fire going. Some travelers nearby told me about a small town not far from here. I decided to go investigate the town and see if I can buy some supplies. The snow smells like piss. 07/20/48 I reached the town and saw that some folks set up a sort of civilization down here. Something about it reminded me what happened before the flash. What happened a decade ago. When war broke out because some scientists tried to reverse this global warming. All the paper money in the world was burnt so I paid them some 20 cents for some supplies. Seeing pockets of civilization makes you think. How it was. Before the flash.
Ahh, the peaceful sounds of a post apocalyptic future event, this what you need when your scavenging for food, and avoiding warlords of the waste lands, hordes of zombies and mutants, a very good way to release stress.

When I wake up my body is covered in trash. Parts from cars and pieces of wood. Having no memory of what had happened days before, looking up to where I was, the world seemed abandoned. Nobody is around unless you count the digital sparks coming from what used to be the large tv's. I decide to get up and put some use on my body. Before long I see that the whole city has vanished and the ruble is the only thing I see. The skyscrapers which were busy with people are now half-destroyed and all windows are broken. I try to remember what could have happened and how I survived but my head starts to pound and get dizzy.
08/19 I was walking on this road and found this journal next to the body of a kid, and it's been 2 years since he last wrote on this . The situation never changed but the virus got worse. A year after the first outbreak, the people who died on the street because of the virus started walking again . I never thought that this scene would actually happen and I am one of those lone survivors. The experience I gained from games and things I saw in movies made me this far . The only thing you'll hear is the sound of the wind , cans and plastics being blown away. I don't know when this will end, but I miss the old days where you could just work, play and sleep . I see a horde of these idiots walking towards me from a distance, so I'm going to wrap things up . I'll try to survive until someone, somewhere makes a vaccine and ends this hell .
To see humanity in ruins like this, knowing it's the end, is truly the greatest pleasure I could ever have. Sitting on a high ground, early in the morning, sipping my coffee and just stare at the greatest death scene in human history. What a pleasure.
Man this sure is cool. It sounds like some survivor just found the perfect nook at the top of destroyed building, and is just sitting in the shade, enjoying some makeshift tea to the sound of a mostly empty world. Letting scavengers, pirates and roaming animals just pass by underneath him and all around him. Just sitting in the wind.. enjoying the day.. How relaxing.
I don't think there's anyone else left, that's fine I wasn't a people person anyway. The skeletal frames of once-important buildings stretch high above as the wind whispers warnings in my ears. Rubble lies on the floor, sharp and crusty like an old man's scalp. The air is fresher than its ever been, maybe if I just close my eyes- just for a bit- I can finally rest
This is it. This is my life now. This was all my choice. Now there’s no turning back. This is how I decided to live. There were families...friends...children...all playing and living their lives. But now there’s only me. These ruins used to be bustling with life. But I guess life never stays the same, huh. I’m sorry everyone...but this, THIS was the only way. It’s too late now. I was that little “accident” you guys kept talking about. The little accident you guys kept mocking. The little accident you guys kept hurting. The scientist’s mistakes can no longer bother them now. It was time. Time I took my revenge. And honestly? It felt pretty good.
With the sounds of wind howling like the screams of those who parished in the beginning days. My days are now spent rummaging through abandoned houses, and stores for supplies. Sometimes I find people, sometimes we walk away from each other. Other times I have to take a life, and that slowly erodes my past identity causing me to ask to myself. Are we the living worst than the dead that rose or are we just living the life we did before, but at a much more primitive way? Either way I think of it. It won't matter if I make the wrong choice.
It's been seven years since the nuclear war happened when I was eighteen years old...just right after I graduated from high school. I lived in a cave with no one with me, somewhere near the city. before the nuclear war, Ive wanted to become a sheriff. But unfortunately, it fell apart when the nuclear war happened... Killing most of the population. I survived but my mother didn't make it. I am now forced to walk this earth as a wondering orphan, fending for myself. I have my father's survival journal which it comes quite very useful. I don't know if my old friends from my high school is still alive or not, but I'm going to find them. I'll never forget how very horrifying it is when the nuclear war break out. People are screaming and yelling. there's a lot of killings, shootouts, dogs barking, and worst of all nuclear weapons going off. It still haunts me to this very day, I've seen too much horror. I don't know what started the nuclear war, was it an assassination, well, who else to say. Nobody knows that's for sure. All I have to do is keep surviving to the very end. That's all it matters.
The End of the World occurred pretty much as we predicted: too many humans, not enough space or resources. The details are trivial and pointless. The reasons: purely human ones.

The clock stopped at 1:17. There was long sheer of bright light, then series of low concussions. I think it's October but i cant be sure. I haven't kept a calendar for years. Each day is more grey than the one before. It's cold and growing cold as the world slowly dies. No animals survived and all the crops are long gone. Soon all the trees in the world will fall. The roads are peopled by by refugees towing carts and gangs carrying weapons looking for fuel and food. Within a year there were fires on the ridges and deranged chanting. There has been cannibalism. Cannibalism is the great fear. Mostly I worry about food. Always food. Food and the cold and our shoes..
I used to think about things like this, we'll sort of. It was always about what if you only had some kinds of plants and a muddy creek. It was never about what if there was only debris steel and dogs. They're hungry. As much as me. But you see them in packs. They scare the daylights of me. I try to sleep up higher. So they can't get me in my sleep. When I get down in the morning I wonder if they've already smelled me and are wait for me to get down.
4/24 It has been 2 days since me and the rest of the survivors crossed the state line into Texas. We did so on a tip from a wounded solider that we came across roughly 2 weeks ago, hiding out in a church with another soldier, who was also badly injured. They have survived a helicopter crash landing trying to pick up supplies out of state. They said there were people doing research on a cure to this infection in Houston, which is ground zero for this infection. They warned that the zombies in that area were different, and were advised to stay away from that area unless they had air transport and were not given any other details. Now I know why... As I write this, an entire group of them are trying to break down this barricaded door and I have no where left to run. The zombies in this area are more aggressive.....and can sprint after their prey, which also explains why it has been so quiet around these parts. They were just as indestructible too. Not too long after a noise was made while walking through the city, “runners” started charging towards us from every direction. In this moment, I am the only person from my group who is still breathing after we were overwhelmed by these ....things... the CDC building that sits behind barricaded walls was so close...The soldiers standing guard heard our screams but did not aim to shoot one zombie from their tower....even as Ellie, who recently turned 13 this month was being torn apart. Her screams still haunt me...even more than the moans and growls of the zombies as they’re trying to break through the door.......This what I get for believing in such a stupid pipe dream and dragging the rest of the group into this mess. Despite losing people to these freaks, I insisted that we keep going anyway. Nothing else to do at this point.......but to join the rest of my group before the zombies make me a part of theirs....I’m sorry everyone........
Day 1: Everyone is going crazy. I saw a woman biting off a man’s face and men in uniform shoot people down. I’ve barricaded myself inside my house at the moment. Day 10: The streets are empty and the stores are picked clean. I was lucky and found a chocolate bar today. The virus is still spreading to other countries. Day 21: Hah, I can slowly feel myself becoming insane. The always silence and fear. Oh yeah, the infected have mutated. I call them crazies. They don’t eat you, just rip you apart. They toy with you. Day 32: Found a group of survivors, though they all died, a pack of crazies got to them. Day 267: I’m not sure if I can do this anymore. I haven’t seen any living being in so long. Day 352: I saw a girl today. No older than maybe 10. She was running away from a crazy and my dumb self needed to help her. Well, it got me bitten. Day 353: It’s been a day. I feel like my organs are turning inside out and I’ve started to loose my hair. I’m always thirsty too. Maybe this is how it’s like being infected? Well if someone sees this, you better get out of here because I might have turned already

Wildering are my thoughts, as the wind howls grief through lonely streets. Smouldering is the fear of the night falling, without light I’ll surely fall with it. Because in empty land my heart lies, and my humanity belongs to a city past life.

But our favorite two shows were The Outer Limits, and The Twilight Zone. We were huge into the macabre. *_HUGE._* Vincent Price was our favorite actor. There was this one episode of Twilight Zone that was my favorite. It was about a guy who loved to read, but never had time for it. Work, chores around the house, friends in need of his help, everything seemed to get in the way of what he wanted to do most, reading. He became so fed up with it all, he would wish that everyone and everything would just go away. And then he got his wish. A nuclear war happened, and he somehow survived- I forgot exactly how; locked in a bank vault, I think. When he finally got out, he was the last person in the world left alive. It took him a few minutes to get over his shock, but when he did, he realized that he was now free. Free to read all the books he had to put aside, free to relax, free to do only what *_HE_* wanted to do. He was so happy, he started doing a little dance of joy. But then he tripped, breaking his only pair of glasses, and had no way to get new ones. I remember I used to sympathize with that guy. I wanted more than anything for the whole world to just go away so I could just do the things I wanted to do, not what was expected of me. I never realized what getting my wish would mean. And now, like that guy with his shattered glasses, I sit here among the ruins of what was once a huge metropolitan city of hundreds of thousands, wondering if I'll be able to scrounge enough food tomorrow to make it through the week. That is, if the roving gangs of scavengers or packs of feral dogs don't get me first. Perhaps a building I'm looting will collapse on me. Maybe I'll catch one of the many "super-diseases" running rampant. Or maybe I'll just unknowingly creep too close to one of the cannibal camps, and end up in a stew pot. Hell, I might just cut myself on a rusty piece of metal, get lockjaw, and starve to death. But hey, at least I got my wish, right?" - Lone page in an otherwise empty journal

2091/FEBUARY/VALENTINESDAY/SUN/14 Day 1: It was a lovely day until i heard screaming in my back door. Rekitiy was dead. My fence was broken. What, who, and why did it, she, he, kill him? Day 2: I was sleeping. I was awoken by gunshots an screams. i looked outside. It was raining. What are those pale green creatures outside? They look familiar. Day 3: I went outside for a walk, a creature was walking in front of me. It almost bit my arm! I panicked and went back. Day 4: A wide speaker said: "внимание. внимание всем мирным жителям. Попов будет сброшен царской бомбой через 50 минут. пожалуйста, найдите безопасность сейчас." i went to safety immediately. Day 5: Bored and nothing to do. But i found a dead soldier. He had some pretty good gear on him. Day 6: Gunshots. I grabbed my machete and went to where i heard it. nothing. but an injured survivor who didn't speak. I did not spare him. I killed and looted him. Poor guy. Day 7: [Illegible] Day 8: (erased) Day 9: No people. Just creatures. I cant find my mom and dad anyway. Day: 10: It was my birthday. but i cant find anyone to cheer me up. I miss Rekitiy. Day 11: It was night time. I saw a light in the sky. It was hope! I waved. but they only saw my arm. They thought it was just a decapitated arm. They left. Day 12: I used a half broken motorcycle to travel to a nearby bunker. I barely broke the hatch open using all my strength and brain. It was a heaven. But it was half hell. There was a 7Ft creature which can pull my arms off in a strong hatch. The hatch maybe contained supplies. Day 13: Feeling good. Took some pills, ate food. And sat by the fire. (like for more!)

03-06 Journal It has been months now since I had left my old home in search for supplies and a new place to stay. Currently, I don't have much of a problem finding foods, the amount was enough to last a whole week with just me by myself but it does seem like foods are getting harder to find each time I went out to find some. So it might be a big problem going forward. However,On my last outing to find foods, I also saw a stach of veggies seeds, which mean that if i ever find a place to settle down for awhile I might be able to plant some food and the food problem will be taken cared of. Oh yeah, I haven't found a place to stay just yet. I'd found acouple but the longest I ever stayed at one was 4days and the shortest one was like 6-7 hrs. If you're reading this you might already know why I had to leave. Since thry like to travel in groups, fighting them alone would be impossible even with their slower pace, well below avg sight,smell, and awareness.. Eventhough with their drawback, they are not to be reckon with, they travel with large number so it is best to avoid getting flank when trying to escape. Ok this will be all for now, seem that they are catching up to me, it's alright I was about to change my location after finish up with this entry to this journal. I hope i get to meet the other people who had use this journal before me and the people who will use this after me. Signing out, .......

Found this journal on a shelf while I was searching around one of the abandoned stores figured I'd grab it, it'll keep me at least a little sane. Only been a few weeks since hell broke loose. So many people went insane trying to buy food and protect them selves from the new mutated disease. It started out as a new virus that had already gone into a pandemic, killed nearly 2 billion in the process. Then it became even worse and all we got from scientists before communication cut off was that the virus had mutated with rabies. It caused nearly all of humanity to go mental. It's no longer an airborne disease but if had been any longer I probably would become one of... Them. Honestly I don't understand how I've survived so fucking long I only have 'bout a month left till I'm 15. I only escaped my house last week, I was to scared to leave but I need food and being around the mangled bodies I had to kill was too much. Even now as I'm sitting writing this I can hear traces of panic. Gunshots, barking, noises that really shouldn't even be possible to hear but Because of the quiet I can.
Anyway I'll write in this thing more once I've found a shelter but who knows how long that'll be. Might just need to keep walking tonight and hope I don't run into anyone or.... Anything.'

When I lived with my parents, years ago, I used to day dream about being completely alone in a post apocalyptic world. Not quite as shattered as the one seen in this video, but void of any other people and abandoned cars and buildings all over the place. It was weirdly relaxing.
"I can't stand looking at this city anymore. It's like staring at a corpse. I feel like a parent that's outlived his child. I've seen this city grow and change over so many years only to see it like this. All the people, the memories... these buildings represented progress, ingenuity. And now they stand like gravestones. Monuments of our failure. I keep getting flashbacks of the old world... who i was before. I don't want to remember anymore. Haven't talked to anyone in months. I'm losing my fucking mind. It's like this isn't even real. Where did everybody go? I almost wouldn't mind running into some cannibals just to know I wasnt completely alone. Who would've thought I, of all people, would miss other people. Thank god I found this notebook. But I have to keep looking, keep moving. I cant let my despair get the better of me. Hope will keep me alive. They HAVE to be in here somewhere. Dead or alive, I just have to know. Can't give up. Can't be who I was before. This new world doesn't allow people like that to exist anymore. No fuck ups. Have to be strong. For them. I'll keep searching block to block, building to building, room to room. I WILL FIND THEM."

you are not lying, Snow. Snow...did you hear about the problems they have, out west with Lake Powell and the diminishing water? they say they can have enough water and electricity only up to January of Next year. That area CANNOT lose another 32 feet of water. In some of the reservoirs, they can't lose another15 feet. In last three years Lake Powell and other big lakes out west have sunk down below half of their possible volume of carried water within the lake area.

I wrote the book Burning Bridges (EMP survival in NYC) to this soundtrack. Every time I wrote I’d put on the headphones and get sucked into this awesome post apocalyptic world. It’s immersive
*A VHS tape is turned on. It shows Hamburg in West Germany in 1985. There's an American family in the park. They're enjoying their vacation*
The family is enjoying the time, unaware of what was about to happen.
"Mom! Look at me!". A child jumped down the slide.
"How brave you are, sweetheart!" The mother would say. Then, she'd look at her clock. "Oh my! It's too late! C'mon, sweeties! We gotta go home!"
*The VHS tape is turned off. It remains like that for several hours until someone turns it on. It shows a warzone in the same park which is in the same street. Soldiers keep appearing, shooting each other*
"Dad! What is going on?!" A child would ask.
"It doesn't matter! We gotta get out of the city!" The father would respond. "But why?!" The child would ask again.
"This is..." The father would stay silent.
As far as humanity knows, this is World War 3. They're unaware that this is humanity's last straw.
"There's a train station nearby, honey! We gotta go there as quickly as-" The father is shot.
"HONEY! NO!" The mother would scream.
*The VHS tape is dropped to the ground. However, it isn't broken. The VHS' battery is 30% but it suddenly turns off. Minutes later, is turned on. Soviet soldiers appear, inspecting the tape*
"Chto eto?" (What is this?)
"Vyglyadit kak kakaya-to lenta." (Looks like a tape of some kind).
"Kamera?" (A camera?)
"Niet! Lenta VHS, vy idiot!" (No! A VHS tape, you moron!)
"Eto dlya nas, niet?" (This is for us, no?)
"Kto-to strelyal v vash mozg?" (Did someone shoot your brain?)
"Chto?" (What?)
"Nichego... vyklyuchi." (Nevermind... turn it off).
"Da." (Yes).
*It's turned off. Years have passed since then. Someone picks it up*
"Huh? What is this? Meh, who cares? We've got work to do. This is mine."
A wrecked city (like the one in the background of this video) is shown. World War 3 ended in a nuclear exchange and it ended humanity as we know it. However, it didn't mean that the humans were entirely extinct, no. It meant that that was the drop that filled the glass. Now everything is just... a barren and rusty wasteland. With confidence and bravery, humanity can rebuild society again...

No matter where I go, it all looks the same. Destroyed buildings, fallen power lines, abandoned cars. When the wind blows, more debris falls out of the skyscrapers. Every now and again when I go scouting for food, a little piece of humanity finds its way at my feet. Today was a photograph; a happy couple on the day of their wedding. There’s a note on the back that says “To old age and forever more!” 8/14/19. Seems so long ago things were normal. Yesterday was a small stuffed dog. A little burnt, but still adorable. A quick wash and he was good as new. Baring the burn fur of course. It keeps me company now, as side from the wild dogs, coyotes and birds. I don’t know where to go from here. I’ve heard from other survivors that the rest of the country is no better. I’ve thought about joining a group leaving the city. But... I prefer being solo. Less crap to deal with and not having to watch over my back for others. You worry less when your shelter is an abandoned car in an abandoned repair shop. Nobody bothers you, except survivor groups. Looking for other survivors. They always start by knocking on the doors. Looking for movement. Then they walk in and shout; “Hello?!! Is anyone here?! If there are survivors here, we’re not going to harm you! We just want to talk!” Then I pop up, usually with a weapon aimed at them. Sometimes a shotgun, sometimes a compound bow. “Hey! Woah! Okay! Easy there buddy, we’re not here to hurt. Like I said, we’re just looking for survivors. So put the weapon down. We’re already unarmed!” I give them a couple of seconds then lower my weapon. “Okay, now we can talk.” I listen, mostly them talking about how they’re trying to get a group together and leave the city. “You sure you don’t want to join us?” I shake my head. “Well if you change your mind, we’re over in the old firehouse one block over. Here I’m gonna leave you a gift. Spare can of Pringles.” They leave and I think about their offer. The group leader didn’t seem to be hiding anything. Hmm... I’ll think about it overnight. Maybe now is a good time to leave. Think I’ll visit them in the morning. For now it’s night. To keep myself safe from roaming bandits in the night, I place wood boards on the inside of the door of the old convenience store. I’ve made it look like there’s nobody here at night and nothing to steal. The shelves in the store are tipped over, some random things on the floor, the counter and clerk area have stuff everywhere. There’s boards on the windows, dust over the windows so you can barely see inside except for a little bit of motion. It’s kept me safe for this long... but I think it’s time to go. So I climb into the old dust covered truck and hide into the blankets that I’ve found and try to get some shut eye. The lone green Pringle’s can on the dashboard being the last thing I see before sleep takes me.
Morning comes, I’ve made my decision. I’ll make a visit to the old fire station and go from there. I’ll bring them a bag of chips as a peace offering. If they’ve already left by the time I get there. Then I’m packing up and leaving too. Here goes nothing.

I can just imagine this right now. Since it’s a really hot day, I open my window before going to bed. Only to wake up 3 hours later to hear the streets filled with gunshots, people running away as they scream. Families shouting at their kids to get inside the car. Suddenly an alarm went off on my phone. It’s the emergency alert system telling us to stay inside. In panic, I start to pack my backpack and hopefully finding batteries for the walkie talkies that we have. I’m just gonna assume this thing is working.. probably not. Date, 2132, 17 of May. General Henry Gravens here. God where do I even start.. This wasteland is horrid to look at. To be honest, at this point, scavenging for supplies is trying to find a needle in a Haystack, our boys haven’t been doing too well and Max says the next drop will be here in about 3 weeks and chances are it’ll be 12 miles away at the worst, and 3 at the best, to be honest, this virus is out of control, I saw one of those dogs mangled into a pile bones and about 2 inches of skin left on the side walk.. or what was left of it. Started off this whole trip with 23 men, now there’s only 6. Me, Scott, James, Max, Michael and Roy. Lost 9 during a fire fight with some insane-psychos. Another 8 to a “Type-3” according to the public radio station, mutated freaks with 3 eyes, and 7 fangs, it literally ate an entire rocket, exploded with it inside it and was still bashing David to a pulp whilst tearing his arms off. The Military isn’t any better fighting these things, saw a huge one completely annihilate a helicopter of the sky with a abandoned train-cart, things left arm was the size of a tank and the rest of about the size of a sedan. The degenerates commonly known as a Ravengers, sick mentally ill people, mourning for this type of scenario to arrive, they have the mindset, but not the physical strength to back it up. Saw a group of 4 get pounded by a pack of 3 dolvines, vicious dog-like demons which could pretty much rip off the arm of one these idiots. We didn’t wind up too far from the last Military Base we scavenged, only about 3 miles away. We’re trying to make our way to Molehole, huge town with pretty much the remaining sane people alive, we’re still a long way away from the village, Roy assumes we’re still about another 6 miles away. So far, I’ve heard some gunshots a few blocks away. Ravengers probably on a supply run to eat a pile of scrap. This campfire will probably keep us warm for the night, or, what we call night. The sun has been up for 54 hours, but it’s still freezing cold. Michael said he’ll keep watch, because chances are we’ll probably get ambushed while we slept.
But, anyways. We- what? We have to leave? Now? Oh.. oh my god, come oN! GET IN THE TRUCK GET IN THE TRUCK NOW! [Loud clicking sounds and the trucks engines are heard roaring to life, indescribable yelling and screams follows by several gunshots before the tape abruptly cuts off]

I ask myself, who does this? And then I ask myself, why do I like it? Me and me are going to have a deep drawn out conversation. Amiss is an understatement.
The once vibrant streets of Seattle were choked with the stench of decay. Paper advertisements, once plastered on buildings promising the American Dream, now flapped in the wind, their slogans a cruel mockery of the reality that gnawed at the city's edges. I hunkered down in the abandoned cafe, the chipped enamel of a diner mug warming my frostbitten fingers. My journal, its pages worn thin, lay open on the table, a testament to the relentless march of time, and the ever-present threat of the Infected.
It had been three years since the day the world ended. Three years since the Lazarus strain, a bioweapon designed for crowd control, backfired spectacularly, birthing a horde of mindless, flesh-hungry monsters from the living. Three years since I took my first hesitant steps into this new, grim reality.
My name is Evelyn Park, and this is my story.
The cafe's dusty window offered a sliver of the outside world. A lone figure, silhouetted against the bruised sky, shuffled down the street, his moans swallowed by the oppressive silence. He was just one of the many, a cog in the macabre machinery of the apocalypse.
I shivered, pulling my threadbare coat tighter. The harsh October wind, a harbinger of the coming winter, bit through the fabric, sending chills down my spine. Supplies were dwindling, the city picked clean by scavengers and the ever-encroaching Infected. Hunger gnawed at my stomach, a constant companion in this desolate landscape.
But I wasn't alone. Across the table, hunched over a flickering lighter, sat my partner, Max. His face, etched with the lines of hardship, was illuminated by the tiny flame. His eyes, the color of storm clouds, held a flicker of defiance, a spark of hope that mirrored my own.
We were scavengers, ghosts flitting through the ruins of civilization, eking out a meager existence on the fringes of the Infected hordes. Today, however, was different. Today, we had a plan.
Rumor had reached our ears of a haven, a hidden community nestled deep in the Cascade Mountains. A place where the Infected were held at bay, where the embers of humanity still flickered. It was a long shot, a desperate gamble, but it was all we had.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the city, we packed our meager belongings. A backpack, filled with scavenged cans and a rusted hunting rifle, felt heavy on my shoulders, the weight of our future pressing down on me.
Max, ever the pragmatist, checked the ammunition, his jaw clenched tight. "Ready, Ev?" he asked, his voice gruff but laced with a nervous tremor.
I met his gaze, my own reflection staring back at me from the depths of his eyes. "Ready as I'll ever be," I whispered, the words tasting like ash on my tongue.
We slipped out of the cafe, blending into the gathering dusk. The city held its breath, watching us go with its vacant, hollow eyes. The journey ahead was fraught with peril, but we were driven by a desperate hope, a yearning for a tomorrow that might not even exist.
This is just the beginning of my story, a chronicle of survival in a world ravaged by the undead. As we navigate the treacherous roads and face the ever-present threat of the Infected, I will continue to document our struggles, our triumphs, and the choices that define us in this new, brutal reality.

Hey. I was told from my advisor to keep this journal, as he said: “it’ll help keep your mind off future ops.” Here goes nothing…
We arrived at the airport, where a mass of people had gathered, seemingly to “protest” over the radio stations being cut. Soon enough, our COs had given us the order to open fire onto the crowd. That didn’t sit well with me, somethings off.
Day 3: What the fuck. I was right all along, something was wrong. Some virus is turning people insane, making them rabid and unpredictable, I fled from my unit in hopes of finding refuge in the city, oh boy I couldn’t have been more wrong. Mutilated corpses line the streets, UN ARVs were around almost every corner, and food, water, and ammo was scarce, I don’t know if I’ll keep writing in this for long, I’ll stick around for a while.
I’ve noticed how I haven’t mentioned my name in the last entries, I’m Captain Anne Smirnoff of the 3rd Infantry Unit, sent to quell riots, but stayed because of the virus, I’ve learned who to trust, and who to kill.
I’ve noticed scavengers and survivors scattered here and there, I might start a group, I’ll see how it goes.

Day 35:
Us Soldiers aren’t getting a good time. The Platoon I was in was deployed 5 weeks before. However due to this virus. It got stronger and most of ours boys were infected and killed. Some the people I was with were infected. What’s even worse is that the Government sent Specialized Hazmat Units to eliminate the infected, civilians in the infected zone, and us Soldiers. One time we we’re ambushed by them and we lost of 3 men.
Day 36 (Scribbled Writing): GOD DAMMIT, THEY FOUND US. THEM HAZMATS CAUGHT US OFF GUARD WHEN WE ARE SLEEPING. THEY’RE ROUNDING US UP AND EXECUTING US. HOWEVER SOME US WERE LUCKY AND ESCAPED TO THE FOREST.
DAY 37: I’ve been hiding in this forest for days. I have nothing but a Working M4 and some Mags. Things won’t get worse now. The Hazmats are searching the forest for remaining Soldiers s like me. I think this might be the end for it. If anyone find this don’t trust the *Ripped Part*

You start hearing footsteps in the building for a few days and decide to barricade yourself in your room till they stop. After not hearing them for awhile, you get up to look around, until you hear people’s voices enter your apartment.

Its been maybe a week since I left the shelter. I set up a camp maybe 500 yards away. I cut some trees down to keep my fire going. Some travelers nearby told me about a small town not far from here. I decided to go investigate the town and see if I can buy some supplies.

I reached the town and saw that some folks set up a sort of civilization down here. Something about it reminded me what happened before the flash. What happened a decade ago. When war broke out because some scientists tried to reverse this global warming.
All the paper money in the world was burnt so I paid them some 20 cents for some supplies.
Seeing pockets of civilization makes you think.

When I wake up my body is covered in trash. Parts from cars and pieces of wood. Having no memory of what had happened days before, looking up to where I was, the world seemed abandoned. Nobody is around unless you count the digital sparks coming from what used to be the large tv's. I decide to get up and put some use on my body. Before long I see that the whole city has vanished and the ruble is the only thing I see. The skyscrapers which were busy with people are now half-destroyed and all windows are broken. I try to remember what could have happened and how I survived but my head starts to pound and get dizzy.

I was walking on this road and found this journal next to the body of a kid, and it's been 2 years since he last wrote on this . The situation never changed but the virus got worse. A year after the first outbreak, the people who died on the street because of the virus started walking again . I never thought that this scene would actually happen and I am one of those lone survivors. The experience I gained from games and things I saw in movies made me this far . The only thing you'll hear is the sound of the wind , cans and plastics being blown away. I don't know when this will end, but I miss the old days where you could just work, play and sleep . I see a horde of these idiots walking towards me from a distance, so I'm going to wrap things up . I'll try to survive until someone, somewhere makes a vaccine and ends this hell .

To see humanity in ruins like this, knowing it's the end, is truly the greatest pleasure I could ever have. Sitting on a high ground, early in the morning, sipping my coffee and just stare at the greatest death scene in human history. What a pleasure.

With the sounds of wind howling like the screams of those who parished in the beginning days. My days are now spent rummaging through abandoned houses, and stores for supplies. Sometimes I find people, sometimes we walk away from each other. Other times I have to take a life, and that slowly erodes my past identity causing me to ask to myself. Are we the living worst than the dead that rose or are we just living the life we did before, but at a much more primitive way? Either way I think of it. It won't matter if I make the wrong choice.
It's been seven years since the nuclear war happened when I was eighteen years old...just right after I graduated from high school. I lived in a cave with no one with me, somewhere near the city. before the nuclear war, Ive wanted to become a sheriff. But unfortunately, it fell apart when the nuclear war happened... Killing most of the population. I survived but my mother didn't make it. I am now forced to walk this earth as a wondering orphan, fending for myself. I have my father's survival journal which it comes quite very useful. I don't know if my old friends from my high school is still alive or not, but I'm going to find them. I'll never forget how very horrifying it is when the nuclear war break out. People are screaming and yelling. there's a lot of killings, shootouts, dogs barking, and worst of all nuclear weapons going off. It still haunts me to this very day, I've seen too much horror. I don't know what started the nuclear war, was it an assassination, well, who else to say. Nobody knows that's for sure. All I have to do is keep surviving to the very end. That's all it matters.

The clock stopped at 1:17. There was long sheer of bright light, then series of low concussions. I think it's October but i cant be sure. I haven't kept a calendar for years. Each day is more grey than the one before. It's cold and growing cold as the world slowly dies. No animals survived and all the crops are long gone. Soon all the trees in the world will fall. The roads are peopled by by refugees towing carts and gangs carrying weapons looking for fuel and food. Within a year there were fires on the ridges and deranged chanting. There has been cannibalism. Cannibalism is the great fear. Mostly I worry about food. Always food. Food and the cold and our shoes..

I used to think about things like this, we'll sort of. It was always about what if you only had some kinds of plants and a muddy creek. It was never about what if there was only debris steel and dogs. They're hungry. As much as me. But you see them in packs. They scare the daylights of me. I try to sleep up higher. So they can't get me in my sleep. When I get down in the morning I wonder if they've already smelled me and are wait for me to get down.

It has been 2 days since me and the rest of the survivors crossed the state line into Texas. We did so on a tip from a wounded solider that we came across roughly 2 weeks ago, hiding out in a church with another soldier, who was also badly injured. They have survived a helicopter crash landing trying to pick up supplies out of state. They said there were people doing research on a cure to this infection in Houston, which is ground zero for this infection. They warned that the zombies in that area were different, and were advised to stay away from that area unless they had air transport and were not given any other details.
Now I know why...
As I write this, an entire group of them are trying to break down this barricaded door and I have no where left to run. The zombies in this area are more aggressive.....and can sprint after their prey, which also explains why it has been so quiet around these parts. They were just as indestructible too. Not too long after a noise was made while walking through the city, “runners” started charging towards us from every direction. In this moment, I am the only person from my group who is still breathing after we were overwhelmed by these ....things... the CDC building that sits behind barricaded walls was so close...The soldiers standing guard heard our screams but did not aim to shoot one zombie from their tower....even as Ellie, who recently turned 13 this month was being torn apart. Her screams still haunt me...even more than the moans and growls of the zombies as they’re trying to break through the door.......This what I get for believing in such a stupid pipe dream and dragging the rest of the group into this mess. Despite losing people to these freaks, I insisted that we keep going anyway. Nothing else to do at this point.......but to join the rest of my group before the zombies make me a part of theirs....I’m sorry everyone........

When it first began for some reason it sounded like something was behind me, lol. Freaked me the heck out!
Day 1: Everyone is going crazy. I saw a woman biting off a man’s face and men in uniform shoot people down. I’ve barricaded myself inside my house at the moment.
Day 10: The streets are empty and the stores are picked clean. I was lucky and found a chocolate bar today. The virus is still spreading to other countries.
Day 21: Hah, I can slowly feel myself becoming insane. The always silence and fear. Oh yeah, the infected have mutated. I call them crazies. They don’t eat you, just rip you apart. They toy with you.
Day 32: Found a group of survivors, though they all died, a pack of crazies got to them.
Day 267: I’m not sure if I can do this anymore. I haven’t seen any living being in so long.
Day 352: I saw a girl today. No older than maybe 10. She was running away from a crazy and my dumb self needed to help her. Well, it got me bitten.
Day 353: It’s been a day. I feel like my organs are turning inside out and I’ve started to loose my hair. I’m always thirsty too. Maybe this is how it’s like being infected? Well if someone sees this, you better get out of here because I might have turned already

Wildering are my thoughts, as the wind howls grief through lonely streets. Smouldering is the fear of the night falling, without light I’ll surely fall with it. Because in empty land my heart lies, and my humanity belongs to a city past life.
"You know, I used to watch old black and white TV shows with my grandpa. Hawaii 5-0, Dragnet, Dennis the Menace, stuff like that. But our favorite two shows were The Outer Limits, and The Twilight Zone. We were huge into the macabre. *_HUGE._* Vincent Price was our favorite actor. There was this one episode of Twilight Zone that was my favorite. It was about a guy who loved to read, but never had time for it. Work, chores around the house, friends in need of his help, everything seemed to get in the way of what he wanted to do most, reading. He became so fed up with it all, he would wish that everyone and everything would just go away. And then he got his wish. A nuclear war happened, and he somehow survived- I forgot exactly how; locked in a bank vault, I think. When he finally got out, he was the last person in the world left alive. It took him a few minutes to get over his shock, but when he did, he realized that he was now free. Free to read all the books he had to put aside, free to relax, free to do only what *_HE_* wanted to do. He was so happy, he started doing a little dance of joy. But then he tripped, breaking his only pair of glasses, and had no way to get new ones.
I remember I used to sympathize with that guy. I wanted more than anything for the whole world to just go away so I could just do the things I wanted to do, not what was expected of me. I never realized what getting my wish would mean. And now, like that guy with his shattered glasses, I sit here among the ruins of what was once a huge metropolitan city of hundreds of thousands, wondering if I'll be able to scrounge enough food tomorrow to make it through the week. That is, if the roving gangs of scavengers or packs of feral dogs don't get me first. Perhaps a building I'm looting will collapse on me. Maybe I'll catch one of the many "super-diseases" running rampant. Or maybe I'll just unknowingly creep too close to one of the cannibal camps, and end up in a stew pot. Hell, I might just cut myself on a rusty piece of metal, get lockjaw, and starve to death.
But hey, at least I got my wish, right?"

Day 1: It was a lovely day until i heard screaming in my back door. Rekitiy was dead. My fence was broken. What, who, and why did it, she, he, kill him?
Day 2: I was sleeping. I was awoken by gunshots an screams. i looked outside. It was raining. What are those pale green creatures outside? They look familiar.
Day 3: I went outside for a walk, a creature was walking in front of me. It almost bit my arm! I panicked and went back.
Day 4: A wide speaker said: "внимание. внимание всем мирным жителям. Попов будет сброшен царской бомбой через 50 минут. пожалуйста, найдите безопасность сейчас." i went to safety immediately.
Day 5: Bored and nothing to do. But i found a dead soldier. He had some pretty good gear on him.
Day 6: Gunshots. I grabbed my machete and went to where i heard it. nothing. but an injured survivor who didn't speak. I did not spare him. I killed and looted him. Poor guy.

Day 9: No people. Just creatures. I cant find my mom and dad anyway.
Day: 10: It was my birthday. but i cant find anyone to cheer me up. I miss Rekitiy.
Day 11: It was night time. I saw a light in the sky. It was hope! I waved. but they only saw my arm. They thought it was just a decapitated arm. They left.
Day 12: I used a half broken motorcycle to travel to a nearby bunker. I barely broke the hatch open using all my strength and brain. It was a heaven. But it was half hell. There was a 7Ft creature which can pull my arms off in a strong hatch. The hatch maybe contained supplies.
Day 13: Feeling good. Took some pills, ate food. And sat by the fire.

It has been months now since I had left my old home in search for supplies and a new place to stay. Currently, I don't have much of a problem finding foods, the amount was enough to last a whole week with just me by myself but it does seem like foods are getting harder to find each time I went out to find some. So it might be a big problem going forward. However,On my last outing to find foods, I also saw a stach of veggies seeds, which mean that if i ever find a place to settle down for awhile I might be able to plant some food and the food problem will be taken cared of. Oh yeah, I haven't found a place to stay just yet. I'd found acouple but the longest I ever stayed at one was 4days and the shortest one was like 6-7 hrs. If you're reading this you might already know why I had to leave. Since thry like to travel in groups, fighting them alone would be impossible even with their slower pace, well below avg sight,smell, and awareness.. Eventhough with their drawback, they are not to be reckon with, they travel with large number so it is best to avoid getting flank when trying to escape. Ok this will be all for now, seem that they are catching up to me, it's alright I was about to change my location after finish up with this entry to this journal. I hope i get to meet the other people who had use this journal before me and the people who will use this after me.

"It feels like yesterday ever since this infection started. At first it stared in Las Vegas. Before that, the world was a wonderful place to be alive in. And than the first case of the infection started in an alley of LA. The patient was violently shaking, his eyes turning white, and his skin rotting and turning into a bluish-green color. Than he escaped the room he was held in and infected on of the nurses....than the other nurses, than the guards, and soon, the infected came bursting out of the hospital,infecting everyone in there sight. By the time the military intervened, it was too late.... LA, Seattle, Minneapolis,Atlanta, Philadelphia.... Than it spread outside of the U.S and now look......"

"Okay, so we need some food, clean water, batteries, fresh clothing, blankets, and - why'd you stop?"

"No, cause the infected have bluish-green skin, remember?"

"We should check if he's still alive"

"Because we should bring him back to base, duh"
"But what if he's infected"
"Than I'll check for bite marks............yep, no bite marks, now to check if he's alive........"

"His heart is still beating"

"We should get him outta here before the infected. Check that abounded store over there, last time I checked, there was a crapton of supplies there."

* Grabs supplies *
"Okay, I got the supplies, now--

"Look over there"
"Oh crap, infected."
"We have to stay quiet, they may be blind but can still hear"
* Infected slowly walks by the two without notice *
"Phew"
"Now what?"
"Now we return to base"
"Aw thank God. My legs are killing me?"
"And we have a not dead child"
"Right, now let's get outta here"
* The two walk back to there base with a bad of supplies in one pair of arms, and a child in the others *
