There's an American TH-camr who visited the Franz Josef glacier a few years ago and when she got to the viewing area she cried. She cried because 15 years earlier she'd visited the glacier on a school field trip to New Zealand, and that viewing area didn't exist because the glacier was on top of it. The closest you could get was a spot down the end of the valley, yet now you can barely see the glacier from the new viewing area because it has retreated so far back.
1990 a huge hole opened up creating an ozone layer causing ice to melt quicker. Changes in weather patterns having that el Nino and la Nina affects today.
I was so in line with ur comment on wxxi that I was compelled :that I had to comment : I am a black Vietnam soldier n I listen to ur comments : I feel that if more white Americans had ur mindset , the relationship between all Americans would all be on the same page on our country . I was able to see that resistance between Americans r separate in our views among a lot of white n black Americans are unable to become one united states ; or separate due to looking at ( of ur white or black ) n ur commentary on w x x I.. convenced me that white n black Americans pay to much attention on our color
AMD since she is person of color it's completely okay for her to use helicopter and personnel jets and talk about climate change while contributing to it. 🙏 one thing that pandemic has taught anyone that coverages like these doesn't have to burn cash and can be done remotely AMD with a drone. But guess what she is going to claim its her "business trip" by covering one story and then enjoy a great vacation there. Saved herself some money and optimised her stay while talking about climate and disappearing glaciers but doing nothing for it. Wow. That's why when celebs talk about climate change from any stage I laugh out, as if anyone is giving up their own charters and private jets even for 10 mins of journey but yeah do it. Have your first vacation of year. Good job.
This helicopter tour is actually a very popular tourist thing to do in New Zealand around the glaciers, it's not just her private adventure. It's called a "heli-hike", and it's a fantastic adventure. And sure, you can whine about her flying contributing to climate change, but that wasn't a private jet she was on, in case you didn't pay attention. It was clearly a commercial airline, she just happens to be in business class, which isn't out of reach. I'm sure New Zealand was likely happy to cover her expenses as they rely heavily on tourism and migrant workers, which have both been hurting since the pandemic. This was possibly a huge help to get people interested in coming to NZ to visit, so why not let them do a story and then enjoy a nice vacation. My husband and I often add vacations to the end of business trips, and very few people blast us about it. You're clearly just looking for something to whine about.
@@traceymarks6612 Thank you for your kind words. They showed this segment on midday news - but I had to go hunting to find out it was from Good Morning America. What an honor. I did the Heli Hike 30 years ago !!!! - can't even compare with the Glacier now. America is also growing as a destination - once you would stop over on the way to UK.- but now they have really promoted it. My son spent 2 months there - marking off his bucket list. Regards from a very loyal Kiwi.

Tutai poroporo
It’s the hottest part of the summer there.
PURE PROPAGANDA
Yes it is summer here but they are drastically receding
@@MnMsss184 They have been receding for decades,this isn't a new thing,at least 30 years.
Glaciers do not retreat over summer
Propaganda? Let me guess you're religiously dillusional. It is the ignorance from people like yourself that holds us back as a species.

People boarding "personnel" jets aren't using a jetbridge, but do go on.
