Similar to Forget Me Not (2015), One Week Friends takes the viewer to a high school where a boy is fascinated with and falls for a cute class-mate of his. The girl is a loner who has no friends. She gets approached by class-mates and is asked to after school activities, but is resolute in always saying 'no.' She has amnesia and only remembers events, names and faces one week at a time. Not to be put off her class-mate is determined and even comes up with a clever idea for them to remain friends and acquainted.

I am quite disappointed that he didn't end up with her but I'm still quite happy about the ending.Not everything will have a perfect ending or the one we want.So for her to make an effort and him finally getting to be her friend was quite Beautiful.She and him have a love or relationship that only they have and he will carry on.

In the manga, it is implied they started dating after she regained her memories but the ending for the real life adaptation sort of took another turn. :/
I have had major trouble accepting throughout my life that it makes sense to want to be 'friends' with a girl, when one is even slightly attracted to her.
If we were a group of friends that grew up together then it is different. Or if we were just pushed together by life itself then that's inevitable and totally fine whatever happens.
But why do we keep insisting that we can pick one girl and want to be her 'friend' without it blowing up in our face down the road? For both the guy and girl!
I wish it would be taught in schools that this simply doesn't fly without hearts being broken and major pain!
Is there an argument that we 'never know' or that all of this is completely false and stupid talk?

looks like it's either the change of the ending is if the author is Part of the making of the live action it's the author's fault or if the author just take the money and gives permission to let them do what they wanted to change then it's the director's fault on the changing the ending.

Honestly i love Yuki. He's kind sweet n funny, always trying his best like a real live personality of Naruto. It's fun to watch n the fact that he was willing to lose someone that he loved dearly just so that that person could happy even though it hurt him deeply was so.....nice.

The film is undoubtedly very good. But ending seems to be incomplete. Yuki and Kaori separated because Kaori had remember Kujo since a long time. And Yuki too separated himself from them. But it seems not. Yuki tried to send his message through illustrations which in result reunited them. But what about Kujo??
He's not considered a main part but a problem so they probably just didn't want to include him in the end. Also, he's probably just happy that he got the girl and is pleased with his life.
Movie is about friendship "ONE WEEK FRIENDS" and they end up being friends.
Anime was better but same ending. Try it.
Kujo is still her bf and Yuki is just a friend.

Seishun Forget. Though a different story. Boy confesses, girl accepts but warns him that she will forget this ever happened and will get bored of her eventually. But surprised2x boy didn't gave up and tried his hardest to give plenty of memorable moments (and with friends) for her to remember.
