FYI, the link you have provided to supply a 9 pin cable is the wrong cable for the scale connection. The pins are correct, however the screw should be a male end. The item on amazon provides a female end, which is the same as the scale.

Hi, We want to purchase scales, however, Our requirement is to get data over serial/ip as well whenever a the print button is pressed. Do you have any model that supports this functionality?
Hi! I have a CL5200-B with a built in LAN card. I have issues with both wireless and wired connections. When I try to enter WLAN settings (menu 1916), I just get three quick beeps and it doesn't open. What could that indicate? For RS232, I've installed the Prolific drivers in Windows 11 and I have functioning COM3 port, but CL Works still writes State: Failed when I try to connect. Baudrate is set correctly. Any tips or solutions to try for both modes of connection would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Hello. I have programmed new CL5500 and it won’t print label if tare value in the PLU table set to 0.01. The 3 other scales work just fine with tare value programmed. New CL5500 will print label only if tare value is removed and set to 0.00. What am I missing? I use older software to upload PLUs to the scales called CL Works. I already searched and re-read users manual several times and can’t find anything. If I set tare to 0.01, I get error on the scale screen “Invalid tare value.” I temporarily removed all tare values for the specific department, but in a longrun, I’d like to keep the tare and find out the programming setting in the CL Works or on the Scale itself. Please help.
Hi This is a great question and I'd be happy to help. First thing that comes to mind is the scale model itself. You said the other scales are working fine with tare. Are they by chance a higher or lower capacity scale? For example are your other scales 60 lb. scales? And this new one may be a 30lb scale? That would change the lower end of the scale divisions. So you would need a separate database that had tares set to 0.010 instead of 0.01. Please let me know the models, it should say the weight capacity on the spec plate on the side of the scale. Also where and who did you purchase the scale from?
Wow you are correct. I do have 2 different models in one of our departments. One is 60 LB and new one is 30 LB. Once I set the tare to 0.010 on the 30 LB model, the tare works just fine. I am just going to have to keep all the same models in the same department either 30 LB or 60 LB because keeping 2 separate databases would not be practical. Thank you very much for helping! I have been scratching my head for quite some time already, reading and re-reading the user manual and could not find anything related in the manual or anywhere online. I have purchased scales somewhere from online vendor from the east coast. I do not remember the name since it was about a year ago. @@cas-usacorporation900
I've got 20 shops, each has 1 CL5200. I had to manually go to each shop to update PLUs when needed. It was a frustrated process. Would you please tell me how to connect the computer from our headquarter to scales in our shops (which are far away, not in Local Network) ?
There is a method that should work for the 5200 like it does for the CL7200. Alternatively you can save a .mdb file and send it to each shop and have them open it in CL Works pro then download it to the scale themselves. If you have any questions, please send us an email with your contact information to info@cas-usa.com. We will have the correct branch office contact you. Have a great day.
Unfortunately the LP model scale does not have Wi-Fi capabilities so there will not be a menu for the IP address like the CL5500. We would be happy to answer any other questions you have or provide scale options that have Wi-Fi. Please send us an email with your contact information to info@cas-usa.com. @@cas-usacorporation900 Do you have an application for automatic updating of items and prices on the scale? I saw an application called CL-UPDATE is it official from you?
@@DanielGonzalez-hc4hb Prices can be updated quickly using the CL Works Pro software connected through Wi-Fi. Alternatively, there is a Master-Satellite setup that allows you to quick change prices on one scale and it will instantly send those changes to all the other scales on the network.

same here. Have you found something?
is there a way to connect an ethernet to 9 pin serial cable? Or would it go more simply to just purchase a usb to 9 pin serial?
