  • Pour Over dripper comparison - Cafec Flower vs Cafec Deep 27. Is Deep 27 a good dripper? Will it produce a unique flavor?
Manufacturer, of course, says, that regular v-shaped filters will not work. Don't trust them. Just fold the filter twice and insert it. It'll be totally fine. Works for Chemex for millions of years :)
Here's my recipe for Deep 27 and just 10g of coffee for any V-shaped dripper:
10g of coffee Grind size like sugar (3.2 on Kinu m47)
    1 pour - 30g
    2 pour at 30s - to 60g
3 pour (when previous drained) - to 90g
4 pour (when previous drained) - to 120g
5 pour (when previous drained) - to 160g
    15g recipe
    60-120-180-250
    30g recipe
    100-100-100

can you really do osmotic flow with light-medium roast ? i thought it supposed to be only dark roast coffee because of the way co2 build up in the coffee bean

Absolutely. But I've created "Hybrid flow" in order to simplify the brewing. Haven't tried with dark roast, but it works with medium-light.
Osmotic - totally doable for light roast, used it for more than 2 years

Better to keep in mind: I haven't tested it much with the higher dose using regular pouring, only osmotic. Possibly, the difference will be more visible when used with the 15-20g doses.
Let me know if you want to see Part II of this investigation.
