Well, not funny funny, but I personally find a guy talking so intently to a rat a bit darkly humorous. It's just a movie, just a performance. I'm not saying it'd be funny in real life...

I havent seen the whole movie yet, but I was talking to other people who own pet rats (I have 2 girl rats) and there are a lot of behaviors in this movie that are just happy rat things and these are just a lot of happy trained rats doing tricks and running around

Well, that’s how his character Willard is. And Crispin nailed it! He’s awesome at playing psycho characters. I think he can play as Joker, Ratcatcher and Mad Hatter from Batman
Well yeah but he became too intelligent and maybe tought Willard was a subordinate rat, and went to great lenghts to punish him for disobeying him. And don´t forget all of the bad stuff in the movie is Ben´s fault, so he cannot be considered a good guy.
I have nothing against rats. I even find them adorable sometimes, but when they have the size of rabbits and are so maney they could fill a tub.....then I freak out.

But still, Ben was loyal to Willard, even he led the rat colony to kill his boss, just because Willard asked. However, Willard, after getting what he wanted, abandoned Ben and discarded him without any remorse.

Rats are cute. And not all are evil. Plus this is just a movie. Domesticated rats aren’t bad compared to the ones that are out in sewers. I feel bad for that cat btw and I know, it’s sad. And I don’t like Ben for what he did. sure I felt bad for him not getting any love but he’s still wrong. I love Socrates. He’s cute and sweet, and a true friend to Willard.
The fact that Crispin Glover didn’t get more roles is a real testament to how messed up hollywood is. He is legendary in my eyes.
