The best few tips I can give to players trying to actually get better are 1. Find a pair of weapons you enjoy, aren't terrible, and stick with them. If you keep changing around everything you use you have no basis for how much you're actually growing. This does not mean never try anything new, but to always have a baseline for how much you're growing. 2. There's a set progression to me. Start off in quick play, once you feel better than everybody there, move to competitive, feel better than everyone, move to trials, once you feel like you're not getting much out of trials, go to scrims. Scrims for most will be your end goal just because tourneys tend to be just too toxic which isn't for everybody. In scrims you will find THE best players this game has to offer, learn from them. 3. As he said in the video, your mental. If you care about something enough it's bound to go south at some point. The best way to deal with tilt imo is jus admit ur tilted, take a walk, or jus try again later. 4. Try to note your weakpoints 3 at a time. Literally jus write a note in game like: 1- Don't overextend 2- Play your life 3- Watch supers. You really want to condense what you're trying to improve on so it seems less daunting. 5. While I do think this video is actually great and I do think there are plenty you should listen to, don't think content creators words are end all be all. I've learned so much more from that one guy in the comments that has the most bizarre, in depth knowledge about the game as compared to the oceans of PvP fluff. 6. Try to make friends with at least one person who's actually jus so much better than you and play with them whenever you can. People who are really good at D2 are never shy about correcting you or wanting to help out if they can. My creds are someone who's been on and off destiny 1 and 2 since launch, been scrimming consistently since late shadowkeep, played in multiple tourneys and won few sweat tourneys, been top 500 trials, and loves the game. Great video and I'm looking forward to more from you. The game's honestly so close to dead right now I'm glad there's still people who agree that there's no game like this. I hop from game to game a lot but there's still no game that feels as fluid and enjoyable as D2.

@@heydaye great points the only issue Ive got is the “once u feel better than everyone move to comp or trials” I dont think In my 10yrs of destiny Ive ever felt better than everyone in any crucible game mode at all times. Sure there r games that ik I was def the best or whatever but if u have that exact mentality about it…then ull b playing quickplay forever just once u feel that ur responding well to a multitude of engagements with the build ur useing THEN move to comp and trials I guess. Honestly even if ur bad as long as u can look for some things to get batter at, comp is a GREAT FRUSTRATING INFURIATING (cough sorry got little tilted at comp again 😂) experience that Ive personally learned a good amount from. Same with trials also I play much differently in trials than I do comp. Comp is like a high intense, endurance contest to see how long each team can stay steady and make the best decisions for the longest without snapping but trials Is much quicker faster and more deliberate actions taken and then u reset like nothing happened every round giving more time to pause and readjust. Great stuff tho could’ve said it better my self. 😂
Couldn’t agree more. New maps and sandbox balancing is nice from time to time. But there’s aspects of PvP they trying to force onto the community that just aren’t fun. They need to do more listening and less innovating but others might disagree lol
All of this is great. That said, I think there's only one thing that really matters, and you touched on it in one of the last sections of the video: It's always going to go back to mentality. You could have the best aim, the best gamesense, the best gear, etc... but you need to be able to keep calm when things go south, and stay rational. All games (not just Destiny) require a level of resilience; all facets of life require some of it, too. Know when you're frustrated, know when to walk away; know when you're outmatched, and know how to learn from it gracefully.

@GochuGugsu I'm quite bad at pvp. I'd be happy to see a variety of tips like how to use the radar for positioning, how to retreat, movement, aim or even commentary on your own gameplay explaining what you're thinking
@ everyone’s gotta start somewhere! Like I said in the video I was probably the worst player you’d see in crucible lobbies (constantly bottom fragging). should mention watching back your games and paying attention to immediate issues, lot of stuff is subconscious and bad players dont realize half the mistakes they make and the easiest way to improve is by working on recognizing those errors and fixing them. whenever you die you should ask yourself how and why you died, if it was from being overextended or thinking you had green etc, this is rly specific tho and sometimes has a larger factor such as positioning earlier on, map control wtv which is why watching your games back and comparing to good players is really good imo 3kd player incase that gives it more weight :3
