    Great analysis George. I love this piece of music so I found how it is constructed and orchestrated fascinating!

      Cheers! I had fun analysing the music and getting to watch the film. It is obviously a very old film, but I found the plot and the way it was told hilarious!

    Thanks for another very informative video, George! I love your work and can tell you put a lot of care into it! The Russian composers are awesome! Prokofiev wrote some fine symphonies. Number 7 is probably my favorite. He died the same day as Stalin, but few noticed because the first fifty pages of Pravda were about Stalin, and there were no flowers available for Prokofiev’s funeral - they were all used for Stalin’s funeral. Happy New Year! Keep up the good work!

      Cheers, Dan, Happy New Year! I had read that, unfortunately. I also read they had to move his coffin through back streets to avoid the procession for Stalin. I’ll have to do more Prokofiev in the future!
