ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു regular customer ആണ് .. എനിക്ക് ഒരു request ഉണ്ട് നോർമൽ neck design ഇത്ര wide ആക്കാതെ കുറച്ചുകൂടി ഒതുക്കി ചെയ്താൽ chest size wide അല്ലാത്തവർക്കും ഉപകാരമാവും 🙏... ഞാൻ എപ്പോഴും collar kurta ആണ് എടുക്കാറ് .. wide neck എനിക്ക് suit ആവില്ല
Namaskaram, We do realize the issue you are facing. We have received the same request from other customers as well. I would like to give you a new perspective here. There are mainly three issues with implementing a less wider neck:
1. The suitability of the neck is entirely subjective and depends on the body type- We are a ready-to-wear brand focused on neat stitching and fit, however, we can never reach the perfection of a custom-tailored kurta which is done as per customer measurements and preferences. Therefore, we have to find a middle ground where the cutting and fit are good enough for the majority of the customers. We have to be in the middle and keep away from going too wide or narrow, too deep or shallow. Some customers tell us that they need more width to the neck and there are others, like yourself, who need it narrow. We cannot do both and we have to be in the middle where it is good enough for the majority of people.
2. Changing the width of the neck affects the depth of the neck: Making a ready-to-wear kurta has its own nuances and there is a science to it as much as there is an art. If we are to make changes to the width of the neck, several other points of measurement also have to be changed which will change the whole shape of the kurta. This will be too drastic for the existing customers who are in love with the fit and shape. To decrease the width would mean, we would have to increase the depth as otherwise, the neck will lose its shape and become very closed. This will also be hard to adjust for a lot of customers, especially office-going folk who like a little lesser depth than usual.
3. Disappoint the existing customers- We are still a very niche kurta brand, and not a mass consumer brand. However, we do have a lot of customers like yourself, who choose our kurtas repeatedly only for the fit and neat stitching. The current cut, design, and patterns have been the result of years of taking inputs from thousands of customers and improving on it. And the development is still ongoing. Now, to make differences in these tried and tested patterns would affect the existing customers.
We do realize this is an issue for some of the customers and that is a major reason why we, unlike other brands, bring a wide variety of designs with every launch. We bring Round Necks, V Neck, and different types of Collar Necks so that customers can choose a kurta according to their body types. Having said this, we are every day trying to improve the shape and fit, and I shall communicate your suggestion with our design team. We will take this into consideration and have a discussion to see if we can make any potential changes.
