  • They said you can't fix a Tesla yourself! Well yes you can!
    The Trunk Latch and Cinch Motor needed to be replaced on my 2016 Tesla Model X so I did it myself! Here are all the secrets and tips on how I did it! You can do it too!
    NOTE: These replacement parts were sourced from Tesla.
    There are plenty of DIY services you can perform on your Tesla.

    Thank you so much for the step by step instructions. I was able to follow along very easily. Unfortunately I won’t be able to get all the trimmings to seal back to its original form. But that’s part of the cost of DIYing.

    Sadly you mention there’s a small panel on top of the whole panel that needs to be removed first, now the whole panel is cracked and broke when trying to remove it.

      Thanks for watching. Sorry to hear that. A trim stick helps to loosen the clips without putting too much pressure on the whole panel. Thankfully the panel is not too expensive. We have replaced ours due to a 2x4 punching a hole in it 😂
